It made a HUGE difference in my life. Once I got it, I was finally able to run, and ride my bike long distances.
Doing it's job.

It sounds like your CPAP machine is doing the job it is intended to do by helping to insure you are getting the oxygen you need to nurture your body. Sleep apnea causes a person to stop breathing periodically and during that time your oxygen levels dip. That can mean that your heart, brain and other organs are not receiving the oxygen they need to function at optimum levels. I have sleep apnea and my GP, Cardiologist and EP consistently check to see how compliant I am in using my CPAP macnine. There is a definate relationship between cardiac arrythmias and sleep apnea. Many PM club members have sleep apnea and use CPAP macnines. Getting sufficient oxygen at night will make you feel better and more likely to wake up refreshed in the morning. Why worry about waking up earlier and not needing to take a nap. It sounds like your body is telling you that it is benefitting from the increased oxygen. Your heart rate is another issue and could be related to cardiac arrythmias/afib etc. Sorry, but I don't know what ahi levels are? However is sounds like your CPAP machine is a helper, not a problem. You say your PM was implanted three weeks ago and that could also be another reason that you need less sleep and have more energy.
