Atrial Tachycardia

Good afternoon,  I hate that I am asking questions again, however everyones input is greatly appreciated and very informative. So here goes,

To the best of my knowledge (will make sure of this Monday when I see my cardiologist) I have sick sinus, bradycardia and Mobitz type 2 heart block pass the Av node.  In the past month on 3 different occasions something seemed off.  On the third episode (for lack of a better word) I finally called the dr and told them I was...

Newbie

I am 85 years old, was fitted with a dual pacemaker in February this years.

My first check up was cancelled due to this visus. as I am classed as vulnerable due to COPD beside heart problems I don't know when I will get checked so am a bit worried

Previous to fitting I was getting dizzy spells and BP dropping when standig from sitting, These seem to have stopped now so I guess it must be working ok, but I would still like a followup check.

Debating Getting a Pacemaker after Surgeon Recommendation

Hello I would appreciate your input and opinion.

I am 57 years old and have a partial malfunctioning sinus node and when I run I sometimes get lightheaded.  Recently I had a couple lightheaded incidents while only walking and one while sitting.  I wore a heart monitor for 8 days and had a few 3-4 second heart pauses and one 6 second pause.  The Electro Doctor is recommending a two chamber pacemaker for me because of the fear that I will pass out one of these day...

What if your heart can’t sense paced beats?

I noticed from past print outs of my heart that whenever I A pace I V pace so my AP/VP is nearly 90%. My AS/VP is very low. I don't think my AV node senses APaced beats. Anyone know why? I have print outs of an AS beat with VS and the same heart rate range AP with VP and my heart could have easily beat the PM bc the pacer AV delay was long enough my heart could have beat it but it didn't. My heart just waited as if I didn't sense a AP beat. Why would this happen and is it fixable....

FAST HEART RATE AT NIGHT

A few times when I suddenly wake up at night, I would notice that my heart would be beating relatively fast. I wore my smart watch last night and noticed my HR went to 116.

Could thisd be simply due to a "bad dream". or have others experienced this at night?

Thanks

Resting Heart rate changed

Hi I had my Pacemaker fitted December 2019. And my pacemaker was set  not to  let my heart rate drop below 60.

And when I was resting my heart rate  always stayed at  60.

And the last 3 weeks my resting heart  rate has been staying at  70 just checking if anyone knows why it's changed.

And I've started getting slight dizzy spells when I get up to fast.

I have left bunndle and right Bundle branch block and slow heart bea...

Waking feeling hot and sick.

I'm 9week post op and the last few nights I've been occasionally waking up through the night feeling sickly and sweating.

I've just upped my exercise levels over the last week and am worrying I might've done too much and/or setback my recovery.

I've got a dual chamber pm.

Any advice or similar experiences?

Thanks, Dan.

Under the muscle

Hi all

I have had a PM for almost 20 years so I am not new to this but it's been decided that they are going to put Mt PM under the muscle I am OK with this and should of asked the following questions from my tech but I didn't so can anyone tell me do they use the same scar area, do they use the same leads, will it just be a day case or do I need to stay in over night and lastly is the recovery time different.

Sorry for all the questions should of asked but we got talking...

Very Painfully at Incission points

I had my pacemaker single lead ( for brachardy) in Hopsital last Monday morning 4th May20  and released from hospital after 3 hours. Seems pm works fine. However I am constantly very painfull  in the incision area which does not subdue with paracetamol, there is no redness and no fever but little bit swelling. Is this normal after almost 3 days from the implant?

Pacemaker and Covid 19

I am a 41 year old male.  I have a single lead pacemaker for bradycardia.  I've had the pacemaker for about 15 years.  I have a family history of high blood pressure but it's totally controlled with medication.  Would you think I'm at any higher risk for experiencing severe Covid 19 symptoms if I contract it?  I am trying to determine risk as I get back out into society as my state opens back up.  I am in medical sales so I interact with many people....

Does a PM sense simple motion like a bumpy road??

Hello to all of my fellow pacers! I just had my PM surgery last Thursday after dealing with second degree AV block and my heart rate dipping into the 30's on a regular basis. After the PM install, I'm doing pretty good and my rate is staying above 60 now. So here's my question, which is about how the rate changes when needed. I've read a bunch and realize there's tuning that will have to be done to get the rate to increase and decrease according to my needs, but here's...

Fed up

I am 27 and had my 1st pacemaker fitted just over 2 weeks ago and have had nothing but issues since. 2 days after implantation I got horrific chest pains, which turned out to be lead displacement, so was operated on again. After implant I was programmed to DDD but my heart didnt like that so I'm now VVI with a lower limit of 50.

The problem now is I am having horrific dizzy spells, 2 of which were pre syncope and I ended up presenting in A&E. All tests came back fine and they sa...

Neck pain/headache

Hey everyone, I'm new here, 32, and just had my first dual chamber PM implanted on 4/30/20 to treat Bradycardia (I'm 3 days post implantation).

Anyways, I'm experiencing some pretty solid neck pain/pressure that's leading to some pretty good headaches. I'm pretty hyper aware of everything I'm feeling in my chest right now, so trying not to panic about any of that stuff, but this neck pain/pressure and headaches are really annoying. Have felt the neck pa...

Nicked nerve

I've had lots of pain in my left arm that shoots  down to my hand up to my shoulder. Had my PM replaced on 4/23 and at the time, the nurse botched a very painful attempt at an IV in my arm. Recently my Drs nurse has evaluated my arm, it's bruised and still painful to the touch. Since there is no redness, or heat around the spot, she feels there is no blood clot. Dr thinks the nurse nicked a nerve when trying to start IV., and recommend...

Found this site when googling shoulder pain after implant.. My implant date was February 2020..  Much shoulder pain now, at times pretty significant.  Have arthritis in shoulder joint and at first that was the cause.  But it’s gotten most severe recently and location so near implant I began wondering if this was playing a part.Reading posts on this site reassured me this probable and not uncommon.    Glad I found you!  I’ll be staying in touch.

Sharp pain at implant site

Hi I'm Galytea and I'm 18, I got my pacemaker 3 years ago and today I got a sharp pain at my implant site when I moved my left arm has this happened to anyone and what is it? I'm 100% a hypochondriac so it has me very worried. The pain went away after about 10 minutes but very unsettling for me.
