In April 2014 I had bypass surgery and needed a pacemaker because my heart would not pace. Since then I have had fatigue issues. It got to the point in Aug.2015 my cardiologist discovered my heart was not in sink. So they put a 2 lead pacemaker in. Since then my fatigue has gotten worse. In 2 weeks they are going to try to tweek it and see if it helps. The Doctor tells me people have different results from pacemakers. I am 60 and my retail job requires a lot of physical labor. If this does not...

I had a pacemaker put in Oct. 6th 2015 and everything has gone wrong. They say it is Minor surgery but mine wasn't. I had a big hematoma and lots of swelling and my lung was nicked so had trouble breathing for a while. The bruising has gone down my arm past elbow and under breast. I went to have it checked out and one of the leads to the Atium has come loose not of my doing so now have to go back in and repair it. I also have Afib and pulse is erratic and beats low so that is reason for Pacemake...

My EP told me he didn't want to make. Me dependent. On my pacemaker because how young I am,but now wants to. What are some of side effect of being totally dependent. On pacemaker can you still do what you want? My EP said I be more fatigue ,I am already that way I crash after any activities.I don't have energy after work to play with kids even on weekends and on Sundays after I preach I crash. And never had this problem till last 2 years.

I am on my fourth ICD and had this one implanted in June, 2015. It never sat right and I would get weird pains, etc. Plus it was really showing under my skin, I have never had that with any of my others. I should say, mine is put under the left breast. My original one that was put in in 1997 was larger and the doctor thought that would hide it better. So, since the pocket is there that is where all the subsequent ICD's have been put.
A few weeks ago, my current doctor agreed that some...

Hi I am 39 years old. Got a PM in 21-7-15. 15 days later it was discovered that the Atrial lead had moved. Got repositioning done in 12-8-15. While in ICU after the repositioning, the doctors discover that now the ventrical lead (RV ) had moved. But the doc lied to me and told me that all is fine and discharged me the day after.
I was suspicious so I went to another doctor who saw my fluoroscopy report and confirmed that the RV lead was displaced. Since then i have taken opinions f...

So I went to the Ep specialist to get checked out since I am in so much pain.
I am now in a-fibb and have been for 5 days. This is 5 weeks post pacemaker.
They started me on Metropolol and xarelto. They said if my heart doesn't go back into its own rhythm I will have to do cardio version. I am so scared.
I had stopped taking Xanax last Thursday and had to take one today I think it helped a little my heart feels calmer.
My Ep specialist thinks for some reason I have fibromya...

I had an uncomfortable experience yesterday of receiving what should have been 8 Gy of radiotherapy ( DXT) for lymphoma, resulting in a tachycardia ( fast heart beat) of 120/min, paced, when my resting rate is 60 /min. My cancer is mid chest, at the back, and is cutaneous ( skin). The radiation ( X rays) directly affected my pacemaker causing me to paced at 120/min.
There is a study of 96 patients with a similar problem

After my last visit to the consultant we discussed my ongoing problem with AVNRT. Had an ablation 16 years ago for the original problem which left me with a modified fast pathway.
For a few years things were fine then slowly I became more and more in tolerant to exercise then started getting arrhythmias. 2008 got the first of many treadmill tests and monitors etc...etc...
Finally end of last year got diagnosed with2:1 HB PM implanted in Feb 2015. 6 months of adjustments then one visit...

I have found that after an ablation caused from sarcoidosis my heart rate which was paced at 70 with my pacemaker my heart rare fluctuates from 70 to 100 and then back again within a minute. It now happens all day long at rest. I'm wondering if my pacemaker can be adjusted for this.

Hi guys, my 5 year old son had heart surgery a year ago at the Mayo. He had a airtic mechanical valve put in and a pace maker. His pace maker was put in his abdomen because he didn't have enough room in the chest area. Recently he's been complaining of pain inside and a burning sensation. Has any one heard of this or know if this is normal?

I just passed the two year mark for my pm. My celebration? Something is now poking up under my skin. I am rather freaked out about it. Tuesday I see a new cardiologist. (my former one considered me a just a pacemaker patient, not a person.) My question is: have others had this happen, and what ended up being the solution? I cannot think I will get away without surgery. Thus the freaking out! Thank you all for all your support and answers for two years!

I am occasionally awakened by minor shocks from my pacemaker and I am wondering if others have experienced this. These shocks are not severe and are not recorded within the defibrillator when read at the doctors office. I have contacted Boston Scientific regarding this and they deny this can happen. I have experienced a shock from the defibrillator while sleeping and most likely cardiac arrest had occurred rendering me unconscious so I never felt the shock.

I am having my pacemaker removed on Oct 12. I did not need it. My pm was turn off for 2 months first and for the first time in a long time I felt energetic, I was basically sitting around the house all feeling drained of energy. When my Doctor saw me after those two months even she saw the difference in me. I feel alive again.
What I realized after it was turned off was that it was like having an internal tens machine and had blocked most of my severe arthritis pain. I can donate my pacemak...
