For anyone who has had, or heard of, a cardioinhibitory response to syncope, has it ever gone away without meds, treatment, changes, or PM?

New Pacemaker, intro & questions!

Hi, 41yo F, BRAND NEW pacemaker 4/11/19, Sick Sinus Syndrome. Have had multiple TBI’s/loss of consciousness. Was a shot in the dark to even monitor heart...  woke up to 4 messages the first AM. 9.6 seconds was longest pause; in general, 3-9.6secs.

Day 7. I can spongebathe, wash my own long hair in the sink, do most things without help.

Tons of conflicting info! (I’ve read EVERYTHING given to me!) IDK if I should wear the sling for 10 days or 3! 1...

Infrared heat and ICD

Hello everyone,

For the past two weeks I have been under a tremendous amount of stress, to release this stress I have been working out quite a bit, with no problems. However, I want to start practicing yoga, the local yoga place does warm yoga, but they use infrared light to warm up the space (btw/ heat is not a problem for me). My question is: has anyone know anything about infrared heat and icds? dont want yoga zen turn into icd beeping or worse! Thank you!

Leadless VS Leads

A few months ago I posted the message below:

Hello, I am 27 years old. My story began in April 2018. At the time, I thought I just had nausea and vomiting, went to the ER, they said everything was fine and went home. Next episode happened in June/July. I completely passed out twice. Both times while sitting down. Second time I was sitting in bath tub, boyfriend found me passed out and lifted me up and was shaking me awake. He said he thought I was dead. He said there was no response. Ca...

I’m not getting a lot better yet but my question is this I’m not able to do work at all at this point and wandering if others in my position have been able to go back to work or is disability something I’m going to need to look at. My reading shows lots of folks gain 5 to 10 pe...

Mystery Symptom

Hi All,

I’ve tried to explain this symptom to two EP’s, my IM physician, my cardiologist, and a cardiac surgeon friend. I’ve stumped them all.

I’ve named it a ‘heart flash’ not to be confused with a ‘hot flash’.

It appears positional - when I’m seated. All but once happened while driving.

It feels like there is bubble/sensation that originates in my heart and then shoots up through my head and&...

Scheduled for CRT-D in 2 Weeks and Very Afraid

Last fall my cardio and EP docs said I was in a “gray area” as to whether I should get a CRT-D at that time. I have ischemic cardiomyopathy, my EF was 35% as measured on echo, and a ZIO patch showed 20 episodes of non-sustained vtach.  I was too afraid to get the device, so they recommended I get a cardiac mri and wear another Zio patch in 6 months to reevaluate.

Well 6 months has passed so last month I had the cardiac MRI and wore a ZIO patch again for 2 weeks to evalu...

Maybe a month after the procedure i had 8 shocks in the course of 5 mins. After that I was prescribed amiodarone. One year later i was having problems with anxiet...

Strange reaction

my 91-year-old father had a pacemaker implanted 2 years ago. He has had five episodes where he is sleeping and all of a sudden he is woken up because he says he feels like a mini explosion in his torso. We've had the pacemaker checked and the specialist sees no irregular activity .

Has anybody else experienced anything like this?

Feeling when paced

I got my PM last June and got my life back at the same time. Sometimes, I would feel a thumping in my chest, which corresponded to my pulse. It would go away after a minute or so, and I thought nothing of it.

I recently (in the last 2 months)  was unable to eat, and lost ~25 lbs. I know this sounds dumb, but I went on a diving holiday and dove twice daily for 2 weeks (family trip, already booked). The weight fell off, my fitness improved, and when I returned home, I was able to tak...

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.
