I did, but I also drove to the clinic with a pulse of 28. They even let me drive to a hospital 2 miles away after I signed a form saying I was risking death.

Probably can ("may", may be a different thing, depending on the jurisdiction) but they didn't want me driving for a week.  My wife took me to work, which was OK because my shoulder was pretty tender and the driver's side shoulder harness would have been a problem (Amazon came through for a shoulder harness pad in time for me to drive again).

I was told to wait one week before driving which was fine by me as I still felt a little lightheaded.  Best wishes to you!

That helps, in the sense that it gives me an idea of aftermath.

I still kinda hope to bounce back pretty quickly, and that the internal stuff, wires and screws in the heart etc. will not be traumatic, be scarcely noticed.

Thank you...

Nah, there is a 99% chance that you'll be just fine.  It's that 1% that might be a problem driving immediately after.  It's unlikely you'll even know that stuff is in you.  Sure, you'll feel the PM but it's just an inert lump. Sure, some freak out but there isn't any reason for it.  Piece of cake.

You know you're wired when...

You have a T-shirt that reads “Wired4Sound”.
