Just wondering if any more news has come to light about the problems with Boston Scientific’s Minute Ventilation issue that has resulted in some patients having their MV switched off until a software patch can be installed.
I was supposed to see my cardiologist in June, but as he will be away overseas, the appointment will now be in late July.
I was hoping to hear something by now especially as the Advisory Notice was issued last December/January.

Firstly hello to all you members, this site is proved valuable to me already - I’ve learnt a lot from you all.
I wonder if anybody had symptoms like I’m having? It looks like I’m headed for a pacemaker, but cardiologist isn’t keen since I’m only 44 and very active. Any input would be much appreciated because I’m not allowed to drive for a year as I’m currently an unexplained case! I need to get back to normal.
Here’s...

I received a Sorin pacemaker in the Summer of 2009 and my last two pacing sessions have been to check my battery. At my last session (4.6.2018) the nurse told me she would put me on the replacement programme and that I would be called in within the next six weeks. I assume this means I am in ERI stage.
However, three days later I received an appointment for a echocardiogram later this month and am wondering why. Is an ''echo' standard treatment prior to replacement? Or was t...

Hi folks.
Ive had my pacemaker for five years. I was rather obese at the time. I have recently lost 50lb in weight using the 5-2 diet plan.
Ive noticed that my pacemaker protrudes and the site is quite sore.
Has anyone else experienced this situation?
Thanks in advance.
Barry

Those US seniors on Medicare...any of you get a rather odd questionaire from your Medicare supplemental insurer recently? I recewived a 5 page questionaire that I find quite disturbing and while I may be over-reacting, it still leaves me unsettled. The questions seem to be geared toward whether I have pre-existing conditions and how my health is in general...just curious.
While the questions are supposed to be annonymous every page has several long numbers stamped on them which could ea...

I have had my PM (crt) since 10/2017 without any issues really. It was for a AV block that came out of nowhere. I am a 46 to female. This weekend I started with some dizziness which I ignored until last night and decided to get a pulse. I got 45, 51, 55 and then 60's. This morning while driving to work felt dizzy again took my pulse and got 51. Back in the 60's now. Not sure if this has happened to anyone. I did transmit to my EP and plan on checkin...

Hi team,
I had a 2 lead Boston Scientifc pacemaker implanted about 4 weeks ago. Since the implant I’ve had PVCs every 4-6 beats. This was confirmed at my most recent visit with my Cardiologist. About 20,000 a day give or take.
While I’m not overly concerned right now, if they become more frequent say trigeminy or bigeminy then this may be something to investigate deeper. My question to you is, “has anyone else experienced the onset of PVCs similar to my fre...

I just returned from Morocco and I had to show my Medtronic ICD card at the Casablanca airport. The EP office called Medtronic (they offered as they said they have a direct line) before my trip and they told me not to go through the magnetic scanner. I was surprised to have had to show the card, as I have travelled extensively around the world and this was the first time. I showed them the card and they did not even use a hand scanner--a quick patdown around pant pocket...

This is just encouragement not to stop taking your meds, opting instead for natural products. A friend of mine dropped dead in her bathtub last week (age 59). She was recently told she had a heart problem and was prescribed medication. She was always a health nut (I mean that nicely) and decided to try her natural remedies instead. I am all about au naturale when possible but not in situations like ours.&nb...

Have had my PM 2 years for pauses that had me on verge of syncope. Doing well and have had several adjustments to address issues with me feeling the pacing. I pace at a very low %. However I have a mild pulsating pain When I pace (at least some of the time) and occsional It makes me have a forced cough occasionally. Does anyone here have this? I’m thinking I may have to live with this and that its not harmful. I do have a Dr&rsq...

Does anyhone have any experience using a hand held, battery operated power drill.
such as the DeWalt 20V brushless drill/driver?
I am completely paced by a Medtronic unit with the ventricular lead implanted at the Bundle of His.
Thanks

I'm 60, and had a dual chamber pacemaker installed yesterday. I had no idea I was in such bad shape; I never fainted, just continually fatigued and light headed, difficulty concentrating.
I feel like Homer Simpson when they pulled the crayon out of his nose! I felt better immediately (10 years younger) and the cognitive improvement is huge.
I used to have ringing in my ears, which I put down to tinnitus, but since yesterday, it's gone. Have others experienced this?

Hello everyone,
On Tuesday I went to the Six flags great adventure, had a blast of a time,I went on almost all of the rides. However that day midday I started to feel deep shooting almost electric pains, kind of like I would get paced just much stronger. I did ask my doctor prior to going and he said it was fine. I didn’t think anything of them but today (a day later) I still have them on occasion. I was NOT shocked and NO alarms have gone off. Should I call my...

I have had heart issues since birth but havent have any issues or been on meds in 15 years....until 2 years ago. I have had a racing heart, hospitalized twice, been through every heart med and had an ablation. Things have been good for a year but am now I having issues again! My options are another ablation ( my heart doesnt respond like others) or a pacemaker. I would actually feel good about having a pacemaker because when my heart acts up it would shock it to norm...
