This is just encouragement not to stop taking your meds, opting instead for natural products. A friend of mine dropped dead in her bathtub last week (age 59). She was recently told she had a heart problem and was prescribed medication. She was always a health nut (I mean that nicely) and decided to try her natural remedies instead. I am all about au naturale when possible but not in situations like ours. Caffeine-related symptoms and that sort of thing are easily remedied by avoidance. But please don't try to treat yourself by popping vitamins, or doing something with essential oils, etc. It's not worth the risk!
I take vitamins everyday because I have to: Vitamin D, B12, Potassium. My doctors have asked me to take those because I have deficiencies. I also choose to take Turmeric Curcumin for my joints (it's almost miraculous how well that one works!). But I would never take or "try" a vitamin or exercise or diet hoping it would heal my heart.
Please don't make the mistake my friend made!

I don't want to die " naturally"
It always amazes me that manufacturers of herbal remedies / dietary supplements etc don't have to produce ANY evidence whatsoever that their products are either safe or effective.
I could mix up the contents of my lawnmower , package it and sell it as being a natural remedy for colds / vitamin deficiency / palpitations / pain relief...you name it . If there happens to be some deadly nightshade in there, or traces of weed-killer, .. tough ! Some idiots would buy it though.
I was reading the other day about an Australian guy who was swallowing "extract from apricot kernels" to treat his prostate cancer. He died too ! His death was caused by cyanide poisoning. Apricot kernels which are full of cyanide are really " natural" though.
"Natural" does NOT mean safe, it doesn't necessarily mean healthy; in the context of health-treatment it means untried, untested and lacking in published evidence.
If you want to get rich , put anything you can think of in a packet , call it NATURAL, and suggest that it could help the health of people who swallow it . It would come under that fascinating umbrella term " Alternative Medicine " .
Whatever you do , don't make it available only on prescription because you would then need evidence ot its safety and effectiveness before you could legally sell it.
Sorry to hear about your friend, Niecey !

My eight year old son had a pacemaker since he was 6 months old. He does very well, plays soccer, baseball, and rides his bike. I am so glad he is not ashamed of his pacemaker. He will proudly show his "battery" to anyone.

...wholeheatedly w/ you.
We have a Chiro who has workred wonders at keeping my 125 yr old back functioning reasonably well. He introduced us to a pair of essential oils - frankensense & Myrrh for aching muscles & the like. It has worked wonders for me, relieving some discomfort w/i 5-10 min when my shoulders& back ached/hurt like fire at bedtime & kept me from going to sleep.
