Why does Medicare or Blue Cross not pay for the adapter for the Pacemaker

I assume Medicare pays for the Box why does it not pay for an adapter so you can use it?

I think your screen name says it all...what?

If you are talking about an adaptor for a home monitor for use on a cellular network for example...they do cover it. I got a home monitor and adaptor...no cost.

If you are talking about a black box like the use in airplane crashes...well

I have BC/BS, didn't pay anything for my box. It didn't need an adapter, it just plugged in.

The experience of having a couple of lengths of wire fed into your heart muscle and an electronic 'box' tucked under the skin is not an insignificant event, but you will survive.
