Biotronik home monitoring system yellow

I was wondering if anyone else is having an issue with there home monitoring device from biotronik. The bottom light is staying yellow. We have never had any problems with this happening and have had the device for almost 3 years. I have called Biotronik and can't even get passed the operator who said many people are having this issue but the Drs. are still getting everything they need transmitted and took down my name and number.

3 weeks ago my husband received his f...

Can you feel it?

Hey there, I just got my pacer, a surprise to me!, in November. One day I'm feeling heart flutters, a stress test (gawd that was awful!!) later, and meds (they stopped that after I fluttered to 207 bpm, then stopped for three beats and crashed to 21 bpm), and a quick consult and I'm a new owner.

I named my pacer JPS.416 -- John Phillip Sousa at 50/120 (my beats/his beats).

Anyway, my question is this: I am still tender. It's been 3 months now. Most days it feels like a...

Another Newbie

Hi Everyone!!! I first joined the Zipper Club in 1969 at the tender age of 12 then joined the PaceMaker Club in 2015 at the tender age of 57. I am a CHD (congenital heart defect) Warrior born with Tetralogy of Fallot. The doctors found a murmur prior to me starting school and said I had a hole in my heart but I would outgrow it. HA!!

Not only did I NOT outgrow it, the Ventricular Septal Defect (hole) kept getting larger. In 1968, when it was finally decided that I needed to have that ho...

Ano Newbie finding their way....

Hi all

Just joined 'the club' this morning and have been reading thru posts - and responses - these have been really helpful. I ended up in Emergency last Mon after a number of 3rd degree heart block episodes with emergency pacemaker fiited the following day.  This came as a complete shock altho in retrospect I could say I was feeling more tired than normal - but who can tell!? Normally pretty healthy, runner, busy lifestyle, 55, so this has knocked me back a bit to sa...

Good News

My EF has improved and gone up from 50 to 62.  I had an ablation in November 2016, for severe afib and that greatly reduced the frequency, duration and severity of afib events.  My followup EKG last week showed the wonderful improvement in my ejection fraction.  So, this old lady of 75 feels a real upswing in attitude and outlook. My Sotalol continues to give me problems with low energy but my EP refuses to make any medication changes for now.  I intend to work harder...

Need help, funny feeling on rough bumpy roads!

I dont know what is going on, but, I have a yucky feeling in my stomach on bumpy roads. I cant feel my pulse, but tonight when my husband was drving and flying over speed bumps( we were late) and around curves, I felt weird again and tried to take my pulse. Byt the time we had  stopped I could finally get a reading on pulse, I would say it was around 90. I had that feeling the first day after coming home from hospital after taking a fast curve with him. I drove the other day down a grave...

Upcoming Sports Event

I'll be going to a 4 day sports event in a few weeks as a spectator (Big East Tournament at Madison Square Garden) and will be going through security 1 to 3 times a day. In the past they had metal detectors just like at the airport. I've had my PM for about a month now. Not sure how to handle all this - first time dealing with security with my PM. Do I show my PM card and ask for a patdown? I'm thinking my PM will set off the metal detector so likely better to mention it befo...

Weight loss?

Has anyone ever experienced losing weight after having your pacemaker implanted? I'm 23 and have two kids under 5. Before the surgery, I weighed anywhere from 130-140. Even before my two kids I wore a size 9 in jeans and now 4 months after pacemaker they are falling off of me. I'm a little more active now than I was before PM but not much more. My diet and everything is still the same. And ((NO IM NOT COMPLAINING)). :)

Heart rate spike when walking and feeling dizzy

4 wk checkup with my afib doctor tomorrow.  Feeling good, sleeping on either side again (no stomach position, i have a c-pap(apnea).  However, trying to get through simple activities, making simple meal, walking from my apt. to pick up mail (less than city block) my heart rate is in 120's and I am feeling woozy...not quite seeing stars). I have to sit down and it takes 15 min. + for my heart rate to go down far enough to feel comfortable walking back.  right now my resting...

I hae posted before, and you have all been great! I am i week shy of having my pacemaker for 3 months.  I have had to see the rep to tweek my pacemaker and Im still waiting to just move on with life and forget I have it.  I got the pacemaker because of sss and bradycardia.  I had a fib since I was in my 30's and had an ablasion in 2013.  I am almost 65, and tall and am told slightly built.   The first time I saw the pacemaker rep, I had better breathing and less d...

Coping

Well now 3 months since surgery and initial relief that everything went well replaced by realising that a pacemaker is not a miracle cure for all ills! Still got to take medication for high blood pressure, warfarin for a.fib and dr wants me to take statins too. Resisted this so far.

having some vague aches and pains, also tired. Had to stop taking ramipril because of the ramipril cough, more like being throttled! Can't decide backache down to new tablets, losartan, or just getting o...

faster heart beat

I had a pacemaker put in a week ago.  Soreness finally fading away.  Have had a slow heartbeat now almost 2 years.  Finally got a pacemaker.

My heartrate would be in the 30's and 40's at resting.  I have A-fib for almost 2 years and because of the slow heartbeat I wasn't able to continue with flecanide. until I got a pacemaker.

Even during the day it would be in the low 60's.   Pacemaker is set to go no lower then 60.  But,...
