I am no expert, but I believe that without the defibrillator that I have, I would be dead.
Talk to your doctor...

With so many questions, and such a new experience, an extra meeting with the doctor might prove helpful.
It might also take some getting used to things being so new. I had a pacing lead replacement a couple of years ago, and was surprised to find that it feels different to my old one; I can feel the pacing due to my enlarged right ventricle, and with a new lead position the pacing felt different.
I hope this helps, and good luck!
