Heart rate spike when walking and feeling dizzy

4 wk checkup with my afib doctor tomorrow.  Feeling good, sleeping on either side again (no stomach position, i have a c-pap(apnea).  However, trying to get through simple activities, making simple meal, walking from my apt. to pick up mail (less than city block) my heart rate is in 120's and I am feeling woozy...not quite seeing stars). I have to sit down and it takes 15 min. + for my heart rate to go down far enough to feel comfortable walking back.  right now my resting heart rate is 85. I am taking sotalol and metoprolpl...after heart ablation (2) and cardio conversions afterward did not keep me in rythmn, doc suggested pacemaker....I was told 2 wks ago when my afib was out of control again to be patient as my last ablation (dec 30) was too recent and my heart needed to heal.  I am confused, frustrated and feeling lack of hope. doc set my hr at 70 - 100...cant wait to hear anwer tomorrow.

I was on Sotalol for VT and it didn't work for me, doctor switched me to amiodarone and it has its side effects but no VT the 6 months I have been on it.

Thanks....my sister and I were just talking about asking doc. for amiodarone tomorrow visit.  we both have afib...and took amiodarone with no prob. Last June I had an afib event requiring cardio convert after several years with no symptoms.  My Specialist does not like amiodarone...but I hope he will let me at least try with it.  Thank you again.

Amio

From what I understand amiodarone is a very toxic drug, my EP put me on it immediately but then my cardiologist took me off if it, then at my next EP appointment they pitched a fit about being taken off of it. I am relatively young 28 when this first started) I believe that played a factor in being on it, plus the severity of the VT. From what I have heard amio is not a drug you can permanently be on.
