Hi Everyone,
I am wondering if anyone else has had the feeling like you have just gotten off a cruise and need to get your land legs back. The best way I can describe it is that I feel woozy. It's almost like my eyes cannot adjust quick enough as I move fast and also I feel like my hearing is a bit off like my ears are plugged but I can still hear. I am only 6 weks post surgery, still adjusting but this is a new one for me? Half the time I really wonder if it is all in my head. One...

2 mos from implant. Have had a few adjustments that solved heavy thumps in diaphragm. Am having pulsating mild pain in middle of chest between breasts. I thought I was feeling pacing but heart rate is to high to kick in pacer. I am set to pace at 45 bpm. Dr. Thinks I am feeling PVCs and put be on a low dose beta blocker . I m don't think that is it because I have felt PVCs before and this kind of pain didn't start until post PM....

Does anyone have any ideas as to the average amount of time it takes following surgery for the heart to "remodel "? I had the surgery on the 18th of July and I still have the same symptoms I had before the procedure. I visited my EP and the St. Jude Tech rep on July 29th for a "tweaking" and was given a return date of 28 Oct. The device is apparently working fine but I still have the same old symptoms: Fluid build up requiring 120 mg of Lasix a day,...

82 year old man here and have had a pacemaker recommended. Not yet installed. They are planning a Medtronic unit for me. Does anyone have any data on how it stacks up against the Boston Sci... or the St Judes Med... units? Are there any others that may be better? I'm looking for the smallest one possible since I want to stay very active physically (even contact sports) and assume the smaller the better as long as it does the job.
Thanks for...

Since I collapsed and hit my hit in Feb this year and needed a pacemaker I've suffered from brain fog sensations in my head, things feel like they are moving and recently some bpv. I've been on beta histamine which helps but makes me feel tired. Bending down or getting up sends weird sensations through my mind. The vastibular headaches are awful. So it's August and I'm still getting this even though pm is fine. I've just had to demand blood test and ct scan as the ENT said...

I was fitted with pacemaker little over a year ago for 3rd degree block after complications in aortic valve replacement surgery. I have since then lost around 30 kilos (65lbs) in weight, without making much changes into the diet or lifestyle. Looking into how and why the weight loss has happened, apart from the obvious valve surgery, I have been thinking if the pacemaker has a anything to do with it.
Curiously I have noticed that the rate response, albeit vital for comfortable living, a...

Seriously. My big right toe only......no other toes. I'm sure it's not heart related but it's been like this for the past month. Whether I am exercising, sitting still, standing or sleeping. If you Google it.....it comes up anything from minor stuff to dire stuff.
Anyone have any info or experience?
You can't make this stuff up.

Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is my third time posting this, I'm a little confused on how this works. If I did I apologize. I have a fluttering at the top of my left rib cage, not constantly, but every so often. No pain, just a flutter. Any ideas?

I have a medtronic pm for sick sinus syndrome. I had an ablation for hereditary arrhythmias about 6 weeks ago, primarily in the left atrium. I went for my 4-week checkup and ended up with a cardiac arrest in the waiting room. I don't even remember parking or walking into the office. My EP and staff delivered about 20 min of CPR and 5 shocks. Interrogation of the pm showed vtach to vfib to arrest. I now have a Zoll life vest and will see my EP Tuesday fo...

Hello everyone,
As I have previously mentioned in my posts I have a congenital 3rd degree AV block and I do not have a pacemaker. But unplanned I got pregnant and now I am 9 weeks, and I am really scared because I do not have a pacemaker. My doctor said it is too late now to have one because od the pregnancy. Now I am not sure what to do, should I wait till there are some complications or should I determine my pregnancy and have a pacemaker? What can be the risk for both decisions?...

I just tacked a long message onto an old Donr message from me. ..Don't know how this new site works. Been busy with family and hubby's health. Need opinions on doing an actual tread mill with my Boston Scientific pacemaker set at 60 beats minimum and stops giving boosts at 120 beats per minute. I have gone higher than that with just my regular heartbeat on walks up steep hills, but not much in regular exercise. I mostly do strength and balance and wa...

Today I spent a couple of hours at my Cardiologist's office. After reviewing my CRT-D info inline it was determined that all 3 of my leads were where they should be and that the real issue was two-fold; Apparently my base HR had been set at 70 which was too high for my condition and my Metoprolol prescription had been reduced the day of the inplant to 25 mg once a day. As of this afternoon, my base HR has been lowered to 60 and my Metoprolol prescriptio...

I forgot to mention that prior to my inplant I had been using a NordicTrac treadmill about 4 days a week for 30 minute sessions at speed 3.1 and elevation 6 of 12. This has been my routine for the past 5 years. Prior to that I was a cyclist who rodea 10 mile hilly course 3-4 days a week with 3-4 20 - 30mile rides 3 times amonth.

Sometimes a device must be tuned a few times before it is right. My cardiologist said it is like fine tuning a car.
