Since I collapsed and hit my hit in Feb this year and needed a pacemaker I've suffered from brain fog sensations in my head, things feel like they are moving and recently some bpv. I've been on beta histamine which helps but makes me feel tired. Bending down or getting up sends weird sensations through my mind. The vastibular headaches are awful. So it's August and I'm still getting this even though pm is fine. I've just had to demand blood test and ct scan as the ENT said nothing wrong with me. I regularly cycle but after that my head sways. I'm trying nsaids as I can take them and this reduces the headaches which is good so could it be inflamed in my vestibular part of the brain? Had anyone suffered this and have any tips to help me and others. I did also read that steroids could help sufferers but I think the doctors are reluctant to do this. Hypnosis has anyone had any luck with that. Would love to hear your thoughts on this.

There are tests they can do to determine if it's vertigo or something else. If it's vertigo, it's inner ear and completely unrelated to the heart. I had a nasty bout of it recently, bad enough to send me to the ER. They gave me the stuff they use for motion sickness and an anti-nausea. I have a friend who's a PT, saw her a few days later. She did this thing with my head to reset the crystals in the inner ear, worked great and nothing since. There are also exercises you can do on your own to reset the crystals called Epley Maneuver Brandt-Daroff. She wrote that down for me but I haven't needed it (knock on wood). Mine was random, not from a concussion, so this may not apply but it can't hurt either so figured I'd mention it.

ok here's an update. Today felt better but still unsteady at times. Took naproxen 500mg checked it was ok with interaction with beta histamine which we have in the uk for dizzy spells. It's now nearly 8pm and I don't have any headaches took this at midday. I have been able to continue to exercise to reset my brain like head turning and standing eyes closed ok. I get the sensations in my head but no pain. I still feel slightly unsteady but I am getting tired. I will continue to sleep at 45 degree angle loads of pillows and not turn on my bad side. Be interesting to see how I go through the night and whether I get the tremors in head that make me jump.Naproxen can effect the stomach so need to be careful and read the side effects etc if you do go down this route to treat your migraine or brain fog. As it is an NSAIDs it should help with inflammation associated with nerve pain. I'm going to see how my weekend goes and do some cycling. I'm to see my ENT Monday to see what he may do. He will probably do the epley on me to see if it's displaced crystals. If anyone has success with naproxen would love to hear about it.

Since PM surgery the only things I've been allowed to take are Tylenol and Excedrin. I must say, my headaches have been bad but I'm thankful for Excedrin.
