I was just wondering if anyone that has a pacemaker has a physical job not to much lifting but fast paced I have been doing my same job for 17 years and never had a problem people ask me why I dont do a job with less stress any job out there there is stress I like my job are there people with pacemakers live on SSI and qualify for it I didn't think you could collect that just because you have a pacemaker I have had a pacemaker since 2003 from an ablation doc burned to much of my AV node not totally dependent I do my own rate around 40 any advice is appreciated

Some people have serious issues and having a pacemaker is there to help stabilized. But for most of us, it's a fix and once we heal we lead perfectly normal lives. I think being active is better for us, keep the heart strong so we don't end up with worse problems.

SSI/Disability

SSI is for those that have not been able to work under social security long enough to qualify for disability covererage.
In either case a PM, as such, is not enough to qualify.
It depends on what the underlying heart problems are.
