Hi there. I am about five months pregnant and am starting to think about how I'd want to deliver. I feel that God intended us to deliver naturally and that by doing so we can become closer to Him in that we will really recognize how sinful we truly are and have no hope but in Him. (It all goes back to Genesis where because Eve deceived Adam and went against God's command of eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil that God said women will now have painful labor.) I've just starte...

A man was continually breathless despite having a pacemaker so he went to the doctor. After examining him the doctor referred him to the cardiologist.
The cardiologist took his wife aside, and said your husband has a very unstable heart. He has stents, he has a pacemaker,he has a fib and he can't tolerate exercise I am afraid he is not going to make it, unless you treat him like a king ! "
This means you are at his every beck and call, 24 hours a day and that he mu...

Any one know of a shirt maker that makes a right hand pocket T-shirt, or one with two pockets so I have a place to put my smartphone?

I am scheduled to have my PM replaced later this year. After 9 years without any troubles the battery is getting low. I am considering asking for an MRI compatible model.
Are there any restrictions on who can receive one? Is there any downside to these models? Are they larger? Is it more difficult to change the settings?
Thanks!

I saw my EP and he made some adjustments to the sensitivity settings. I've tested it now a few times after going to the gym and I believe it has helped. The fatigue has lessened too. He also raised my Upper Tracking Limit from 150 to 165.
The interrogation revealed some interesting information. I had 8 "events" during the 1 hour period the night I took the class. The highest recorded during that hour was 217 which lasted 8 seconds. My ICD is set to shock at 220!! I was really...

Are there any industrial electricians out there with a ICD?
I had my ST. Jude's ICD implanted on 2-24-14 49 yrs. old. Yesterday was my fist day back at work. Made me stay in the shop. I want to stay a electrician until I find a job - posting doing something I want. Also have a Millwright card and can get the next Millwright opening. They hinted at pipefitting job. I talked to the other pipefitters and they will do my welding for me. But welders in the shop. (I know 2' from welders) Trouble...

I got my Pacer the week before Christmas 2013. The first month I was having a hard time coping mentally but that all came to pass. I have had some PVC's but not often. Recently, when sitting, I have felt my pulse slow. When I took it with Pulse Ox it was 37. My PM is set to 60-145. Does the Pacer turn itself off and then back on? Those episodes only last a minute or so. I am 100% Pacer reliant according to Medtronics.

Hello Pacemaker Club,
I am a 57 year old female who had her pacemaker put in January of this year after feeling bad for the past three years (and begging my physician to help me). I finally had a NP put a monitor on and the rest is history.
I have not been back to my cardiologist since then (insurance I guess makes me wait four months), and I have a question about the afib feeling I have of thumping in my chest when I am in afib. I am not talking about the pulse, I am speaking of the...

Good morning,
Anyone with an ICD/CRT-D have experience with hernia surgeries?
I've been stalling for quite awhile because of my CRT-D; my EP doesn't see a problemâ¦other than the CRT-D will be turned off during surgeryâ¦with paddles on standbyâ¦and of course turned on by a Boston Scientific technician who would be present.
Thanks!

Kinda of a stupid question but on our vacation we were thinking about going out to Hoover Dam and touring the dam/power generation areas again--is it a problem with a pacemaker? I'd read somewhere where it's not a good idea to be around power generating equipment or high tension power lines. When I told my husband he was surprised that this could affect me. what's the scoop on that?? (I have sss and am pacing at 64%)

Im 44, female and last december was taken into hospital after a suspected heart attack. Luckily it wasnt, but after having the 24 hour monitor the results came back saying that at one point my heart paused for 3.9 seconds and a few hours later it registered 4:1 heart block.
I am waiting to see a cardiologist who at the moment is being very unhelpful in answering the questions i have, thank god i have a fantastic GP.
I have been told i will need a pacemaker, but id like someone who has...

For heart failure patients. This is great news! Cardiac Rehab is a wonderful program that has helped so many, including me. I truly feel Cardiac Rehab should be mandatory for heart patients who are able to exercise.
If you read the Cleveland Clinic article below, a final decision will be made after a period for public comment.

I am moving to Spain permanently in a few weeks time. Having just had my Pacemaker fitted 10 weeks ago, I am aware the scar tissue is still fresh, but has anybody any suggestions about the sun and pacemakers, as naturally I can not sit inside all day.

I am thankful for a place to share from other who've gone farther down the path after getting a pacemaker. I got mine 6 months ago and what I read on this site made it so much easier.
A couple of days ago I began having symptoms like a pinched nerve coming from above my pacemaker and going into my shoulder in a couple of places. It is much worse when I take a deep breath. The pain moves accross my shoulder to my neck. The muscle from my abdomen to left shoulder has been tender since the pa...
