Thanks for the Info

Just had a PM installed 6 days ago. I am 74 and very active and worked out at least 5 times a week, trend mill, weights, pickleball etc. Annual checkout discovered extra slow rate at night with monitor that I was to wear for 30 days. The monitor was installed on a Friday afternoon and I had 3 calls from monitor station etc. and had the installation Monday afternoon.I am a newby but I have many of the things going on that are discussed in this forum such as flutter of muscles etc. Having these postings has relieved much of my anxiety. I really just want to thank everyone for sharing their experience and what I am experiencing is not unique ----

It sounds like you're physically fit, and ready to continue down life's challenging path. Good for you!!! The PM will make that journey a site more comfortable, and easier for you. I've had my Pacemaker for 9 yrs, it was implanted when I was 54 due to a slow heart rate, I have never regretted getting it, nor have I had any issues with my device. My battery is at the end of its life, and will need to be replaced soon, I'm looking forward to another 9 years of fun.

Really slow

I am not sure how slow the heart rate can become before it could be curtains, but I was down to 20 on the monitor at night and a few very limited brief spells down to 15. Because I was so active it was a bit hidden in the daytime I guess. Anyway thank you modern medical technology and an on the ball team.

All that excitement!

Six days out and you're feeling this well at 74 is to be commended. It must have been exciting to get a monitor on a Friday and get your implant on Monday. They'd have probably done it sooner had it not been a weekend.

Well Done!

You know you're wired when...

Your pacemaker receives radio frequencies.
