I am considering having a neurostimulator implant for lumbar pain management. If my pacemaker is an "on-demand" device then I would be ineligible for the neurostimulator. How would I know what type of pacemaker the 5380 is?

So the only way for me to clean baked on tins from Christmas cooking was in the laundry trough, and then balancing them on a towel on top of the washing machine to dry them. The machine was busy washing all the grandchildren's' clothes. As I leaned near the machine, it stopped, but started again when I moved away. I checked to see whether I had accidentally leant on the controls, but I hadn't. So I tried several times moving close and it stopped every time. When I had finished drying the t...

Well, this is my 78th Christmas. According to my D-i-L, I've seen three more than the average member of the 1936 cohort in the USA. Every year now is a blessing that others may not enjoy.
The 1936 cohort is dropping like flies, so I am thankful for each day I am given to enjoy with my long-suffering wife (Mary Helen) of 54 yrs. Appropriately, we were married on the 14th of June 1959 - the US Army's Birthday, where we as a family spent 28 yrs + on active duty.

..........................May I wish all at PM Club the very best for a great Christmas.
Thank you to my friends both Old ( you know who you are !) and New.
Thank you to the serious ones and the jokey ones.
Thank you all for your patience with a Cranky Brit who will push his luck at the slightest opportunity......there is precious little chance that I shall improve in that department.
A special thought for Electric Frank...............

Just wanted to wish everyone a festive holiday season. Also wanted to thank everyone for all the support and advice you have provided over these past few months. I have learned so much by reading all the posts and I don't think I could have handled this event in my life without all of you. 2013 has not been my best year but because of this site, I am looking forward to an awesome 2014.

My ekg came back with no problems. my pacemarker was fine, my echo gram was fine my stress test was fine. The dr check me and could not find anything wrong. So they sent me home with a 48 holter test. this what came back on this test.

Has anyone had an MRI pacemaker implanted, or have any information on them. I'm having my unit repositioned due to pain and discomfort. My Dr. Is advising me to replace my unit with a Medtronic MRI model. Please if anyone has any info please advise me.

.................now, doesn't this sound really exciting ??
NO..
Magna Clean is a device that I have had fitted to my central heating system. It has a bright yellow label warning ..Contains Powerful Magnet'.
I spoke with ADEY who make it, and they told me that this was to warn PM people................would not elaborate on this statement.
I have talked to DONr about this , and we agree that this is a standard 'let out / warning clause' A...

Just checking in. Been in the hospital the last 5 days. Yep, another infection. Took 8 blood cultures to find it. That's my luck. LOL Anyway, no more fever. Yay! I done told the doctors that I plan on going home by Tuesday. Of course, they are not to happy and know I will just walk out. So, they been winging me off the Dobutamine with one more day to go for that. If no bug shows itself in todays blood, they will put a new picc line in for me so I can go home. I will have to be on a couple antib...

Hi Guys - first, Merry Chrismoose & Happy New Year to all
To my point - I've been working like a demon trying to get my home ready for the seasonal invasion of family & friends, in particular I've been rubbing down an old chest, trying to bring it back to its former glory - in doing this I've had to change rubbing down arms(right arm got weary) so I've done quite a bit of movement with my left arm - My issue is that today I have the most severe pain in my chest and spasms in my left s...

Hi All, I have posted before and want to give an update. They put original pacemaker on my right chest on the outside December 2nd. Couldn't put it inside because of blood infection. Finally on December 19th got internal pacemaker. They let me leave hospital on the 20th and after a 6 hour drive home from California to Arizona I am finally home. I have a home health nurse and will still have to be infused for two more weeks with antibacterial fluids, My question is this. Will I feel extremely...
