i have had poor circulation in my hands for years, but now in the last two months my hands and feet have been very cold and turning blue. I happened to mention it to a doctor ( not my cardiologist) who said it was Raynaud's. So, I have started wearing socks/slippers and keeping my hands warm to help. The change was rather sudden to me, so I started thinking of medication changes, etc. The only two things to change was a slight increase in my beta blocker (to a dose...

I was 67 years old when I received my 2nd Moderna vaccination. Prior to the vaccination I had a history of abnormal ECGs in the last 30 or more years. They showed at different times, athletic heart, low level RBB. abnormal changes, possible enlarged left atrium. The eckocardiograms where always normal. I got the 2nd vaccine on 03/12/21. On 03/29/21 my ECG showed a LBBB type 1. The echocardiogram was normal again. I started to experience symptoms during April and May. Early june I fainted. wen...

Hi,
I just switched my Medication - Bisoprolol from the morning to the late afternoon to see if it less affects my sleepin habits.
Does anyone have any experience doing this?
Tell me when do you take your meds.
I had my first PM checkup 2 days ago after receiving my Biotronik DRT in late October.
They changed some settings and it made my insomnia even worse until now.
I also learned that my usage went up from 70% to 90% and is progressive. I should expect t...

I had many times this would happen my alarm would go off for low oxyge but also low heart rate, My monitor would show 30s 40's 50s instead of 70. Now at home same problem and still on oxygen full time. Anyone have these drops on PVC ?
Did you have “Medical” or “Surgical” intervention for any Coronary Artery Disease and Heart Failure symptoms and how are you doing?

From my experience here in the UK, an increasing number of doctors manage coronary artery disease and heart failure symptoms with medication alone. I appreciate medication/lifestyle changes can be an effective first line treatment for coronary artery disease/heart failure and that not everyone will be a suitable candidate for surgical intervention, but while most patients adapt to long-term medication, some only do so at considerable cost to their quality of life.
The range...

Dual lead pacemaker placed on 1/3/22 to address bradycardia. The low rate was set to 60 and for the most part at rest that's what my Apple Watch and o2ring says. The pm and leads were working on 1/3. I was in the office on 1/14 for a wound check. They checked the pm and said it was working fine. As an aside after three weeks I can sleep on my side.
At night and while sitting occasionally the rate will drop to the low 50s. The number of occurrence initially wa...

An Abbott PM2272 pacemaker was implanted a little over a year ago. At the time my main complaint was slow heart rate but I also averaged one or two AFIB events each year. Now I am having many more AFIB events and am less than deliriously happy with this particular pacemaker (which has been recalled for leaking). Is there a device that could have addressed both slow heart rate and AFIB that might have been a better choice than this Abbott PM2272 to address BOTH conditio...

Hi Group,
Yes another newbie here with a general perspective question. I would greatly appreciate any responses that help with the decision.
Male 58, 6', 185 lbs. I developed AFIB and Artial Flutter starting 2-3 years ago which became progressively more debilatating: a flight of stairs fully winded me. I had a number of nuclear stress tests showing no underlying heart disease. I tried several anti-rhythmic drugs that did not help and made me extremely sleepy...

Hello everyone,
Hope all is well. Reaching out because I'm curious what other members take for medications when it comes to being congested or having a cold? I've noticed ever since getting my mechanical valve and PM there seems to be a list of meds I can't take (because they interact with my existing meds I would assume?).
I figured someone on here must have the secrets to battling a cold!
Right now I'm on Warfarin, Metoprolol and Amlodipin...

I was on Atenolol for a long time to treat tachycardia they had to start reducing the dosage because of heart rate becoming to slow. That's when my cardioligist decided to implant a pm to prevent, my heart rate from going too slow and causing me to blackout again. I wasn't told whether to continue the atenolol or not. I just recently, started taking the atenolol again as my heart seems to start racing again at times causing shortness of breath. Anyone else, had these problems? Thank Y...

My ICD battery is quickly losing voltage. In early November it was 9 months, mid November was 5 months, last week 2 months! I will be changing from Medtronic to St Jude, as that's the hospital's device contract. I am PM dependent due to SSS with no heartbeat when he brings it down to 30 bpm. I have diastolic disfunction with a stiffening and thickening heart/ideopathic cardiomyopathy. I had an optimization again last week, working on s...

Got back to my work after over a year of sick leave (severe heart failure due to a Dilated left ventricule, and got a CRT-D installed end February.
Just wondering : has nobody ever gone "off" betablockers (bisoprolol etc...)
I am struggling with one of the side effects (really bad cough) and it has lasted for months now.
I had a horrible experience with Entresto, same pb.
Both my sisters also cough with their hb pressure meds...must be a family thing.

Was on Eliquis but no need for antiarrynmics . In October this year I had a watchman insertion with the goal of getting off Elizuis. Well Atrial fib went crazy and I was very symptomatic. What happens if you have a nose bleed while on blood thinner, how serious is it. I am not on bblood thinners at the moment. Do have a pacemaker.
they did cauterize the inside of the nostril with Silver Nitrate, this morning.
