I was surprised that I had a strong reaction to the resturant pager that alerts you when your meal is ready for collection at a resturant. It was near my chest when it went off and I had instant symptoms. I wonder if anyone has had strong reactions to anything unexpected like this?

My husband has a collection of decorative lamps which includes plasma globes and discs. Last night, the first time we've entertained friends since my pacemaker was implanted, he had all the lights turned on. At the end of the evening I was helping him turn them all off and noticed my pacemaker feeling quite warm. Fortunately I made the mental connection associating this with the plasma lights before I touched one of them. I did some searching and found information to support my...

I know there are many posts on this subject, but while doing a web search I came across this one pager from St. Judes dated April 2012. Here's the link to a pdf that will download:

I was switching a wall electric outlet and got shocked . Apparently I did not turn off the proper circuit breaker. Should I be concerned?

I have read a few posts asking for experiences with radiation on the left breast after a lumpectomy, but have not seen many actual experiences of people who did have the radiation. Can anyone tell me if they had it without moving the PM, and if they did move the PM where did they put it and was is unaffected by the radiation? I will be meeting with the radiologist oncologist this week, but would love to hear personal experiences.
Thank you.

Has anyone ever experienced pacemaker interference when driving the Suzuki Grand Vitara?
At home, on exertion, I would sweat badly, become exhausted and breathless. Angina.
Prior to pacemaker, I suffered syncope, my pulse kept falling below 30bpm.
So it was set to 60bpm.
Cardiology unlocked something to allow my heart rate to increase thus providing increased oxygenation to limbs etc.
As soo as I turn the engine on, my pacemaker goes haywire causing flutters in m...

I live in the tropics and use a lot of blue tooth devices....speakers, smart watch, iPad, etc. and noise cancelling headphones. I use the headphones daily during rainy season otherwise I can’t hear music or a movie because of the rain on my tin roof.
Is there a problem with Bluetooth devices? Plus I just bought a new microwave before being told I need a pm for SSS.
I’m sure this has been answered a million times but as a newbie, I’m confused about what I he...

I am the recipient of a dual chamber PM just 5 weeks tomorrow. I understand that I can never utilize a tanning booth again, but my question is, can I utilize a tanning bed just for my legs only? If my body is outside of the tanning bed from waist up, is tanning just the legs okay?

I have Medtronic EN1DR01 pacemaker implanted and am trying to use Apple Watch 4 ECG app. It starts to count down from 30 to 29 and restarts repeatedly back to 30. The app itself is ok - I tested it on my wife’s hand and her ECG result got recorded. This means the problem is with having pacemaker implanted. Anyone had similar problems?

I have recently been given a cardiac event recorder for a 7 day observation of arrythmias that I experience despite having a St Jude dual chamber pacemaker. Since being wired up to this new device my resting pulse rate has consistently recorded 80 bpm. My pacemaker was set at 55 bpm as a minimum and has been consistent at that level when I am resting for more than 6 months. Interestingly I have not experienced any arrythmias although my heart rate now is 25 bpm more than the original set...

So.... brand new Pacemaker 4/11/19, 41yo F, decent health. I had “odd” palpitations when I was in the hospital recovering; upon monitoring, they told me it was normal. The 2 Hour drive to my mothers house – I kept having palpitations & later figured out after reading the booklet that it was probably because I was wearing a Bluetooth headset/necklace jobbie, the L side no further than 1” from my incision!
Aside from that, I have been careful...

I feel so blessed to have this little gem implanted in me. When I think of the alternative it is quite overwhelming sometimes.
