Does anyone in the pacemaker club work at water or treatment plant facility as a maintenance tech? I was curious how you navigate certain areas, new work habits, and restrictions... Thanks

I just joined and saw you questions, I was intrigued because I work at a filter factory and we have our own treatment facility. I don’t have any answers as I’m not back to work yet( just got it last week). I’m also concerned about (100hp) VFDs? And info you could share? I see your post is a few months old.
thanks Steve

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.
Don't know a lot about water treatment plants

But the thing I would be concerned about is the large pumps in such plants. Pacemakers don't like large AC (rotating) magnetic fields. Depending on your condition, it might be worth trying to see if you have a problem, or might be too dangerous to play around with. You should ask your doctors for guidance. My EP won't let me around my riding lawn mower. I'm sure he'd have a cow if he though I was anywhere within sight of a 1000HP VSD.
