I cant sleep during the night and cant get relaxed after I run during the day.. has anyone else experienced this? Your input woul...
RIGHT VENTRICLE PACING
So much has been written (and has also been commented on in this forum) about the potential problems associated with RV pacing which could lead to heart failure symptoms in some patients due to “dyssynchrony” between the two ventricles.
My hubby 81 has a single lead PM to his right ventricle for bradycardia/syncope and pausing. He also has AF and other arrhythmias. His percentage of RV pacing is increasing rapidly af...

Following on from my difficulties following my first shock and being put on amiodarone; link here: https://www.pacemakerclub.com/message/36222/amiodarone-causing-constant-dizziness
My condition the last week or so has deteriorated even more. I am constantly out of breath, even just resting. I constantly have a light head and feel dizzy. I have started to feel my heart doing 'hiccups', I struggle to fall asleep at night and wake up exhausted and am tired all the time.

Tingling in my left shoulder
I'm new here and the whole PM is new to me since having it implanted in Nov. 2019. Before I go any further, I will say I feel the best I have felt in 3 to 4 years since getting my PM. Before, my heart rate would stay in the mid 30's to low 40's and after several times of passing out, my Dr. decided I needed a PM. I've had several discomforts but nothing I felt was not part of the healing process, until several weeks ago. I have developed a tingling in my left shoulde...

Hello to all the PM here, what a jolt this is. (PM Humor) I had my put in 10/25/19 so Christmas day was my 60 day/8 week recovery time. My PM beats 80 BPM 24/7 80 BPM they tried to turn it down to 70 BPM and I almost passed out. I am 100% device dependant. I have one lead in each ventricle as they fused off the top of my heart or something like that.
BI-PAP machines for all with Oxygen, the PM beats my hear, the BI-PAP breathes in and out for me I just lay there and try to sleep.&...
Sleep
I am 67 and had a complete heart block and had pacemaker put in Oct 8, 2019. On Oct 28, 2019 I was at emergency room sitting with my mom when I had dizzy spell. They rushed me to a room and was determined my heart rate was 30-40. I had to have the procedure redone. A lead was bad. I'm having a hard time sleeping in a bed. I definitely can't sleep on my left side where it's at under my collar bone. I'm short and surgeon had a hard time putting it in. ...
Pacemaker
Hi. My name is Jill and I’m 66 years old. I had a pacemaker implanted on December 23, 2019. It wasn’t a surprise, but it’s stll difficult. I have been in more pain and discomfort than I expected. The first few days I was on pain killers. I’m off them now. Luckily, I have an incredible support system with my husband, daughters, siblings, and sons-in-law. My grandchildren are FaceTiming me to see how I’m doing. Even with this supp...
Pace feeling?
Good evening!
I earned my dual-chamber pacemaker January 2017. I've grown accustomed to the evening checks that I receive: 11:54pm and 12:24am.
However, 3 times today I had a similar thump sensation in my chest, during the day. I've never had that happen before. The first time it occurred sent me into a full-blown panic attack. The other two occurred a couple hours later and only a few seconds apart. No pain at any time and I didn't feel dizzy (except for when I had my...

Hey everyone. I'm 38 years old and had to have a pacemaker placed 6 days ago. I can honestly say I wasn't expecting my week to end like that. Then again, 2019 has been a year of unexpected events. My 16 year old son had a heart attack in January. That lead us to find a congenital birth defect known as an anomalous left coronary artery with an interarterial and interseptal course. He had open heart surgery to repair it in August. He is already back to wrestling and doing amazing....
First Pacemaker Checkup
Pre-post info: I had a Dual Chamber Medtronic pacemaker implanted for CCHB 3 weeks ago.
Hi all, I'm 3 weeks post op and feel almost completely recovered. I have my first consultation since implant on the 2nd of January and I was just wondering what sort of things happen in this consultation? Is it as simple as checking the leads haven't dislodged and what percentage you're pacing at and sending you on your way? Also how do they check that the leads are working correctly as&n...

Cold weather
Does anyone experience more pains when the weather is colder? I'm in northwestern Pennsylvania and every winter I get chest pains that are more achy that come and go. I have been checked multiple times and am deemed super healthy!! Just curious if the metal in the chest could cause the aches and pains
