Hi,
Recently had knee replacement surgery and now recovering and ready to get back into somewhat healthy routine again. Started wearing my fitbit regularly and have noticed twice now, burn marks on my wrist that has the fitbit. I can't imagine what could cause that? Are there any issues with fitbits and pm's?
So that's twice in 2 1/2 months. Doesn't happen often, but concerning none-the-less.
Thanks!

Hello,
i am shortly to be fitted with a pacemaker and I am concerned that my hobby of drone flying and drone photography may be a danger to the safe operation of my new pacemaker.
I don't know if the following information is what is needed to make decision but if not perhaps someone could give me some further advice.
I know that the aircraft and its remote controller operate at a frequency of 5.8 GHz for the control link, while the Wi-Fi link between the remote con...

I had a Biotronik Eluna 8 DR-T ProMRI PM inserted 6 weeks ago.
My HR watch no longer works. It uses the electrical circuit most HR watches use.
I have read all the current posts regarding successful replacement watches, but they are reported by wearers of other manufactures PM's
Does anyone have the same make and model PM that I have and what have you found that works?

Strider here:
I have a ICD/pacemaker installed just below my collarbone on the left side. I have a rather large hearing loss and have difficulty hearing the TV because of the background TV noise and have to turn the TV volume up rather high also to enable me to hear the conversations and then I only can discern only about two thirds of the dialogue. My question is this: There is a device that one can purchase called TV Ears that works with the audio on the TV and you plug earphones...

I have had this pacemaker since 2008 and started having ectopic heart beats last September when on holiday in Greece after I had been put on Dabigatron instead of Warfarin. I had a major operation on my guts in 1993 and have suffered from diarrhoea ever sine but Dabigatron made it much worse. The doctor as now put me onto Rivaroxaban which has cured that problem but I still ectopic heartbeat. I never had this uncomfortable beat when on Warfarin.
I wonder if anyone else has this experience w...

We are going on our first vacation since my pacemaker placement. I know that it is okay to walk through the security scanner, but what about the one that you stop and place your feet slightly apart and they scan your body. I remember reading that I should not let them use the wand to scan.
Also, we would like to take a segway tour. Does anyone know if it is okay?
Thank you

Howdy y'all, I just joined, I wish I had known about this site when I first got my ICD. What a wonderful resource.
I once saw some Medtronic info that gave detailed information on RFI and ICD but unfortunately can't find it now. The info included detailed information regarding ranges of frequencies and field strengths in which the ICD would work without interference.
I noted in this info that the recommendation for maximum welding current had been increased from 130...

Anyone else with a pacemaker get an iWatch for Christmas? I've been wearing mine on my left wrist; same side as pacemaker and have felt no ill effects. But I have been searching all over the internet and cannot find this question addressed except for the general answer on any technology gizmo; "keep it 6 inches away". So am just curious if anyone else is searching for this answer?

hello all! I am still alive, thanks to my little buddy "Mr.Moto".
It's been 5 yrs now and, other than some minor changes, i feel good.
I have a St. Jude 2210 model pacing at about 10%. I was wondering, is welding ok to do? I am thinking of getting back into my hobbie (rebuilding old trucks) and wanted to get a 110v mig welder. Does anyone have any input on this? How about 220v?

Hello, I was just wondering if anyone has been on the thriller rides (big ones) with their Pacemaker. I am a 17 year old who is a big theme park fan and loves going on the rides so much. I have recently tweeted Alton Towers about going on the rides and they said The Smiler, Rita, SubTerror and Thirteen are a big no no, but all the others are at my own risk. A family friend has now emailed both Thorpe Park and Blackpool Pleasure Beach. The Pleasure Beach has basically said all the rights apart fr...
