Fit Bit and PM

Hi,

Recently had knee replacement surgery and now recovering and ready to get back into somewhat healthy routine again. Started wearing my fitbit regularly and have noticed twice now, burn marks on my wrist that has the fitbit. I can't imagine what could cause that? Are there any issues with fitbits and pm's?

So that's twice in 2 1/2 months. Doesn't happen often, but concerning none-the-less.

Thanks!

Fit Bit and PM

I have PM & ICD, also I am wearing fitbit. I don't have burn marks nor think it is related.

Could it be the rubbing from partially rough edge of the fitbit band?  If it is, you may sand it a bit to make it smooth.

It's soft, but that did give me pause and I researched that idea, so thank you! Evidently, some people have experienced rashes/reactions to the material and FitBit will work with them on that.

I agree, rash

I think happyhealthyheart1 has hit on the answer.  Some folks develop a rash under the band of the FitBit.  When I was using the FitBit Surge I would wash under the band and the band itself a couple times of day.  Never had a problem, and I am prone to rashes under watch bands.

i have been wearing a Fitbit charge hr since December and I just got my device implanted this week. However I have had a red  itchy spot on my wrist since I started wearing my Fitbit. I think it is a allergy to the rubber, especially when I sweat . A little hydrocortisone cream usually helps it clear up .
