Anyone else with a pacemaker get an iWatch for Christmas? I've been wearing mine on my left wrist; same side as pacemaker and have felt no ill effects. But I have been searching all over the internet and cannot find this question addressed except for the general answer on any technology gizmo; "keep it 6 inches away". So am just curious if anyone else is searching for this answer?

Mine lays on my ICD

I use a FitBit and when I sleep my arm generally lays across my chest, placing the FitBit almost directly over the ICD. No issues at all.
Thank you!

You know you're wired when...
You have a T-shirt that reads Wired4Sound.

I've seen many posts about people being concerned about exercise after having a device so thought I would let you know that yesterday I raced my first marathon since having my pacemaker fitted in fall 2004.
it's fine

Rule of thumb is keep anything questionable with magnets a minimum of 6" from the device. Reality is, new pacers are very well shielded and even it's right on top of the device, it won't hurt it. That includes pretty much any electronic gadget or appliance you'd have around the house. It's really only industrial settings where we need to be careful. I run with my ipod clipped on my chest right over my device, I hold my cell phone on my shoulder, I read in bed with my ipad (complete with magnetic cover) propped on my chest. Very worst case, if something is strong enough, the magnet will pull the switch closed and put it in test mode just like when they interrogate it. As soon as you move the magnet, the switch opens and it returns to full function with no harm done.
