TV Ears

I have a ICD/pacemaker installed just below my collarbone on the left side. I have a rather large hearing loss and have difficulty hearing the TV because of the background TV noise and have to turn the TV volume up rather high also to enable me to hear the conversations and then I only can discern only about two thirds of the dialogue. My question is this: There is a device that one can purchase called TV Ears that works with the audio on the TV and you plug earphones from the device into your ears. This device not only reduces background chatter but also allows you to hear quite well while those around you can enjoy TV without having to blast the volume...I have read where earbuds and earphones can cause ones ICD/pacemaker to loose its programming do to the proximity of the earphones to the implanted device and caution should be used when using earphones if used at all. I would like to know if anyone has had this dilemma and if it would indeed, (or not), pose any problems to my implanted ICD/pacemaker. My ICD/pacemaker is a Medtronic DDMB1D4 that is Evera MRi XT DR Sure Scan. I would sure like to enjoy TV once again without destroying the program on my ICD/pacemaker.

ICD and Bluetooth

I have an ICD and use Bluetooth devices all day. I have Bluetooth in my van, in my wireless earbuds and between my personal fitness device (FitBit) and my phone. I also used wired headphones on occasion. None of those devices have ever interfied with my ICD or it's settings. No disruptions have ever been recorded by my device.

Sony wireless

Strider I have had my PM for a couple months now and every time I watch TV I use a set of Sony Wireless head phones without any problems at all. Why do I say Sony...because I had the TV ears in the past and they just didn't work well for me...didn't fit my ears and hurt all the time I used them. Went on line and bought a set of Sony large over my ears and they work great. I can walk from room to room without missing anything.
