Does anyone know if the Iwatch 7 EKG app will work if you have a pacemaker? I know my Kardia does not work with the pacemaker I'm wondering if the IWatch is the same.

May I respectfully remind you that this is supposed to be a support group. Any openly hostile, ridiculing remarks made by you towards other members in the future will no longer be tolerated and will always be removed. How another member’s “genuine” distress can cause you such “hilarity” beggars belief.

I am a 68-year-old male with a fib but also had a three lead pacemaker inserted about six months ago. I got Covid, eventhough I was vaccinated, and some doctors think that it blew out my electrical system. I have Complete heart block I am I am 100% dependent on the pacemaker.
My pacemaker was orginally set at a low end of 80. And my heart stayed that way pretty much all the time unless I try to exercise it'll go to 115 120 which the a fib makes difficu...

In 5 years I have had two incidents causing my defribrillator to fire and re set my pace. The first time, I was driving, I had little response time as I cried out to my wife: I am passing out........................ I woke up to the car careening to a stop with mahem all around. I passed out at the wheel and was struck by a motorbike speeding down the wrong side of the road. I easily could have avoided the idiot, but whammo. The car was totalled, but I was alive. The 2nd time was 1...

A little frustrated here. My mother is 85 and has an enlarged heart. She has a left bundle block and some leaky valves. She had shortness of breathe last year so her internist did an echo and ekg. They saw abnormalities and started her on meds and said maybe crt. What is normal procedure to diagnose this. She saw a cardiologist who said he wants to figure out what caused this, probably ischemia. Another Dr. said leaky valves....

I have paroxysmal AF which has become resistant to drug therapy and I am at the beginning my Pacemaker journey and wanted to send my thanks to all on this forum. The practical information is really useful as I was starting to think I was being a total hypochondriac regarding my pain levels. I do not have mild discomfort. I feel like I've been stabbed, which of course I have. It's sore. My heart feels like I've been kicked by a horse and It's definitely more than discomfort! Ap...

My mother is 85 with stage 3 heart failure. HFrEF She also has a left bundle branch block with some leaky heart valves. I was looking into crt for her. She has shortness of breath mainly and is starting to get more tired when she walks. I was wondering if any one has a similiar condition and had CRT. I was trying to see how successful the procedure is in improving symptoms, and how difficult going through the procedure is, and if there are complicat...

My pacemaker was installed in 2018. So I have had it awhile. I am on a monitor checked every 3 months, in which I am charged $$ to have the monitor say its doing its job. I don't think it monitors me.
I am totally dependent on my pacemaker. Recently I get warn out, where I just feel exhusted and would want to sleep. Is this something I should concern my doctor office of?

Recently, had my PC upgraded to 3 leads due to heart pumping problem. I pace 100% of time due to baracardia (sp).. I was offered to exchange my bedside monitor with an app on my phone.
My question is does anyone have experience with the app? I like the bedsie monitor for security feelings Also I have the tendency to loose things.(lol).

Hi everyone, I hope we are all ok !
just a few questions for the expirenced recipient :-
I had a Boston Scientific duel chamber unit fitted exactly 8 weeks ago
I have felt - and still feel worse than before it was fitted ! I'm always tired and get breathless even when cutting the grass or going up the house stairs - nothing major - just out of breath like I've been indulging in medium exercise !
I've had my first check up and the only thing they could...

I had a biventricular pacemaker put in about 5 years ago when my his bundle pacemaker failed. I am just curious about how they got a biventricular pacer approved and paid for by my insurance. I had thought that you needed to have a certain degree of heart failure and a low ef (neither of which I have) to get these devices approved for implantation. I do pace over 90% in the ventricles and I am young (44), so I wasn't sure if something like that could get approval alone f...

Cardiac MRI question

I have an ICD. I had a cardiac MRI a couple of years ago that was stopped immediately with too much artifact.
I am scheduled for a cardiac MRI in a couple of weeks, at a different hospital and with a different EP. I asked about artifact and he said they do MRIs all the time with patients with devices with no problems and he didn't understand why they couldn't do my MRI.
Has anybody had an artifact problem when perfoming a cardiac MRI?

Remote monitoring
Any idea why my doc would not provide remote monitoring, the Abbot PM tech said he doesn’t like to use them, Is this unusual?

It has been written on this site that this subject does not belong here. That is probably true. But the prescription medication that I was suppose to take, should be. Because after the first 2 eye drops of Neo-Poly-Dex caused my heart to race. Stopped and then was prescribed Prednisolone Ac1% which did of course make my heart race. After 1 drop this time stopped. Was supposed to be 4 times a day.
Did not want the heart center calling me in a pan...

Hello to everyone! The first few months of the year were spent in seeing my various doctors and specialists. Every one has said there will be no need to visit more than once a year from now on. It is funny to say, but I feel like a "normal" person again! I mean, really normal people don't take several kinds of medication & have a device in their body to make sure those meds don't kill them, but still...My body is woring (almost) the way it should!

I just received the recommendation to consider a pacemaker. I spoke to the surgeon yesterday by phone. I started reading everything I can find on the internet. The advice seems legitimate. I've had heart disease and prior heart damage, 3 way by-pass surgery 18 years ago, brachycardia, (38-42 bpm resting) Get winded with exertion, tired, etc. I'm nervous to have something foreign put in me and wonder if it will be worth it, since I've lived th...
