Hello. I had a dual chamber pacemaker placed 4 weeks ago. The rate response feature is on. I have found many of these posts helpful, thank you. While walking this afternoon my heart rate was averaged 70-80. When I walked this evening my rate averaged around 130. I felt fine in the afternoon and fatigued in the eve. I stopped and rested for a bit. Just wondering why the difference. Still getting used to all this.

Does anyone have had an experience with induction stoves.
I hear that induction stoves may interfere with pacemakers.
Any inof would be appreciated as we are remodelling our kitchen and looking at option of installing an indcution stove.
Thanks

I'm scheduled for a pacemaker. Testing was done in June/July when I had bradycardia, irregular radial pulse, less than 1 second of mild chest discomfort and difficulty walking far because of weakness, fatigue, occasional SOB. Since mid August, those symptoms have mostly disappeared as far as I can tell. The only thing I feel is slight chest pressure (or am I focusing so much on my heart that it just seems so?).
Does anyone hav...

I had a Biotronik Edora 8-DR-T installed a year ago, and it is wonderful! Not a single vasovagal attack. However, my cardiologist will not see me unless I have a problem. I am 91, on lisinopril and atorvostatin. I see a PA (physician assistant) once a year. This does not seem to me to be sufficient attention to my case, but maybe I am wrong? I am curious how often others are seen by their cardiologist?

I am a 67 year old man and I have had my pacemaker installed on Jan., 2019 for a Mobitz type 2 block. I noticed that since that time by pacing has gone from AP 24.7%, VP 28.8% to my most recent AP 38.2% and VP 33.8%. Is this normal? I work out on my Peleton at least 3 times a week and at times I push it quite a bit. I am wondering if it is safe to exercise at that level.
I just want to feel better..

I was seen two weeks ago tomorrow by my EP after my last episode. He says that I'm now having some atrial flutter and started me on 25mg Metoprolol Tartrate twice a day. He said that my atrial rate was a little over 200 and ventricular was 160. Is this common with flutter? My EP continues to be very vague. And for the medicine, I don't feel awful but don't feel great either. I'm still having times where I feel my heart is racing and feel the fluttering in my chest. O...

I had a ICD/Pacemaker installed 3 yrs ago due to cardiac arrest at 52. Never determined the cause. All has been good, but 4 months ago, I started having pvcs. The 24hr holt monitor says I'm having PVCs 89% of the time. I fell heart pounding and some dizziness about 40% of the time. My iwatch is where I found it first occurring and 2 months later on my quarterly pacemaker download it was seen. With that said, they are considering ablation procedure. &nbs...

Hello!
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I am writing this on behalf of my mother, who recently received her 1st pacemaker at the age of 69 (almost 70 years old). She had her procedure on July 30th and ever since then, has been experiencing what she calls as internal "jitters" throughout the inside of her body and shaking.
Until February of this year, my mom was healthy and a "young" 69 year old. In February, she then started t...

So I used to be a frequent runner and worked out a lot until I got sudden 3rd degree block almost 3 months ago now and got an emergency St. Jude pacemaker inserted.
Before all this I had a resting heart rate of about 65. Now it goes as high as about 90. But generally between 78-90s.
I haven't worked out much except for walking since my treadmill stress test determined that for now I can't really let myself go higher than 170bpm or I'll feel awful...

New here - great to find this community.
I'm scheduled for my first PM end of September. At Kaiser (Northern CA) they appear to use only a "Biotronic Edora 8" - I'm getting the double lead, "DR-T".
I read the manual (142 pages) - but it's the same manual for what sound like three different models: Edora, Evity, and Enitra. I can't find anything in the manual that distinquishes between these three models.
Is there any actu...

I am new to having a pacemaker. I am 80 years old and had 3rd degree heart block ..so received a pacemaker on June 21, 2021. I walk a couple miles a day and remain pretty active. I feel good. The ep doc set my pacemaker at 80 and just had it set at 70 and on Sept. 14 they will set it to 60.
the other day I noticed a few skipped beats... it only lasted about 5 min. I'm wondering if this is anything to worry about.

Curious if folks have had any side affects from use of minoxidil or with products where minoxidil is the main indegient. I have read several stories that it causes a host of heart related issues (including tachycardia). i myself experienced a new VT and then only thing different in my life was use of minoxidil for the past 4 months.

Hi all, its been a while since I posted and asked for advice or opinions. After 3 years of being fantasticly healthy, I have succumbed to a period of PVC's, erratic heart rate and the dreaded asthma symptons.Mt fitness regime is out the backdoor and no bagpipe playing.I am not sure where I went wrong possibly too much snow shoeing and biking in cold weather that caused the asthma spike. Its day 4 which I realise isnt alot of days passed but for me seems like an enternity.
