Hot and cold

This may sound odd but I had my pm installed 18 months ago I had a double heart block and pace 90percent of time. Now for my problem I either feel hot or I am freezing but seating from the neck up also I feel better if I am walking or working then sitting down blood preasure is high 150/75 even with meds I have had my testasteron and thyroid checked all was fine I also take B12 shots one a month please is there any one out there with similar problems

Twitching

Hi all! It has been one month exactly since my PM implantation and while I still feel GREAT there are some odd things going on and I thought I would get ya'lls expert advice. Lead Erosion...?

Hello. Well, I ended up back in the hospital on Friday for the second time since my implant in June. This time it's for suspected lead erosion..(?). Basically, the lead is starting to come up through my skin at the incision site. Half of my incision has a very thin layer of skin (I can feel the lead connection if I press on it...don't worry, I'm not actually doing that now), the consistency of a blister, and I have occasional new types of pain at the site. chest feels heavy

replacement box in June, RR switched on in July as was having problems
when walking up stairs, problem solved. I am getting the same problem again, feel nausea & discomfort when taking the stairs or carrying shopping, when just sitting chest feels bruised. I rang clinic they say its nothing to do with PM. Don,t want to make a fuss, but i am worried.

Pain at lead entrance

Hello all! I am hoping someone is able to ease my mind. Since my PM implantation which was 9/30/13 I have had discomfort just above my incision. I also have what feels to be a small knot or cyst like feature just above my incision, which is actually where my lead attaches to my pacer and threads through my artery. blood clots

I have had my pacemaker, 2 leads, since June 2012. In August 2013 I noticed the veins in my left upper arm were knotted and protruding. My arm turned red and felt like it was burning. During a sonogram it was discovered I had 2 blood clots where the
Leads were inserted. From the report:
Left axillary vein is not completely compressible consistent with some degree of thrombus.
Left basillic vein has some degree of thrombus. There is a patent lumen in the center.

Pacemaker for 8 months and palpatations

I am a 23 year old male and I had a pacemaker implanted March of 2013 due to cardiac pauses of up to 18 seconds causing me to black out. Since my surgery I have had many episodes where I feel my heart racing and chest pressure, similar to what I experienced in my blacking out episodes I had prior to the implantation but without the actually syncope.

Please Please Help

Hi all, its me again. I just had my pacemaker downloaded last Tuesday, everything ok. Tonight I was laying on my side and felt like my heart is quivering. As soon as I sat up it stopped doing that. My neck was tickling, I got shaky, hot and not SOB. I called EP and he said he thinks its palpatations and not to worry because I have PVCs. I am WORRIED. Dislodged Lead

My mom had surgery in May 2013 for a new pacemaker w/a defib... she fell a month ago (Oct) and has felt thumping in her heart. The heart surgeon discovered that when she fell (and it was a really bad fall, broke upper arm), one of the leads came out of place. Blood clot complications

Hi
I have a pacemaker that has recently been replaced.When the pacemaker was tested the leads showed up as being potentially damaged.The subclavian vein that the leads sit in has a blood clot from the original pacemaker insertion.The other pocket may not be viable as i had a pocket infection there some years ago.I was wondering if anyone else had been in this position.Sorry if i havnt explained it very well.

Diaphragmatic stimulation

I have my St Jude pace maker for four years now. From the start I get twitching every so often right below my pace maker. It's a strange feeling. My doctor said it's nothing to worry about. Does anyone else get the same feelings ?

dizzy spells

hi,
I just had a pm fitted 3 days ago. I feel fit enough, although in a bit of pain. Went out for a short walk for some air, but just keep getting dizzy spells. Is this the norm. My problem was a slow heartbeat and the fact that i was having dizzy spells was the reason for the pm. Maybe im just wanting to recover too fast!

Hi

Hello, although I'm new to this site, I've had three Pacemakers since 2000. So, I'm not new to having to live with one. But recently, I've been having heart palpitations at random times, and when I lift my left arm. This has never happened before. I do also have anxiety attacks from time to time, but this feels a lot different. My last device was implanted in 2010 ,so it isn't time for the battery to be replaced. Does anyone know if this is a seriously problem, or if it will just go away?

Pacemaker Pocket Pain

Hi All
I had a battery replacement in July this year. All went well a nd the wound healed....no problems. Recently as of 10 days ago I am experiencing acute pain in the pacemaker site....no other symptoms....checking online it seems like pacemaker pocket pain. What has caused this? I was on a 12 hour flight back from HK after which pain got worse...was that the reason? Do we have to live with this forever- does it go away? Any answers- anybody? Am so miserable.

Out of breath/fatigue 3 months post pm implant

Hello All,
My PM is now 3 months old and I am making progress but this last week, my first real week of continuous activity has left me out of breath with severe fatigue. Here is my activity: 11/1/13 flew from NJ to Ca to visit my grand dtr. Landed at LAX 3 hours after the shooting in the airport. LAX evacuated and had to walk 2.5 miles pushing150 pounds of luggage on a airport cart. (that was exhausting). 11/2, 11/3, 11/4 rested, 11/5 played my 1st round of golf (18 holes) and felt pretty...
