ST Jude Pace maker

I have my St Jude pace maker for four years now. From the start I get twitching every so often right below my pace maker. It's a strange feeling. My doctor said it's nothing to worry about. Does anyone else get the same feelings ?

Funny feeling

Is it at the same times of day?

I had this in the early months when I had my St J, it was doing some sort of self testing. It was annoying me so they turned it off.

Make a note of the time of day this occurs and also if it is related to your posture or position. Like lying on your left side. If there is a pattern then it could be a self test feature which can be turned off as Scottish Tom said or it could have to do with the type of lead you have and/or its location in your heart. Let them know when you go for your check.

Reset/self diagnostics/shock

I have the same issue but it happens multiple times a day. Almost everyday at 7:21am and periodically through the day. Some days it  will only happens a couple times a day. Other days it will do it every hour or couple hours all day.  99% of the time it is on the 21 minute mark. Sometimes one shock/jolt other times a jolt every second or every couple seconds for five minutes or more. The longest episode lasted about three hours. I have been keeping a log including my activity at the time and will see my doctor in a couple weeks. My doctor keeps telling me it is in my head but I spoke with the manufacturer last week that feels differenty. I also feel my pacing which the manufacturer told me is possible contrary to my doctor.

My eight year old son had a pacemaker since he was 6 months old. He does very well, plays soccer, baseball, and rides his bike. I am so glad he is not ashamed of his pacemaker. He will proudly show his "battery" to anyone.
