Hi all! It has been one month exactly since my PM implantation and while I still feel GREAT there are some odd things going on and I thought I would get ya'lls expert advice. This past week I have begun twitching pretty badly. My hands will just drop at any given time (which stinks when I am carrying that first cup of coffee) and it's like I have muscle spasms all up and down my legs and arms and up into my chest. The twitching/jerking others can see. They come and go, but relatively all the time. I have noticed I am feeling my heart flip more again also. I don't know what that is, its just what I call it. I have not called the doctor because I don't want to be "one of those type patients" and with the home monitor I was told they read it every day/night and if theres any problem they will call me.
any insight would be great appreciated!

I got my PM due to sinus bradycardia.
I guess I will call the doc in the morning :)
I know the feeling

Hi. I had my pacemaker fitted about 6 weeks ago and I have been having similar bouts of twitching , I haven't seen my specialist since the op to ask him about it, so it will ne interesting to see how many other people are having the same problem.
confusing

I was a healthy person 6 months ago. All this is so confusing for me. the EP said to call the GP as it does not appear (on the phone) to be related to the PM. The GP wants me to go to the ER and I don't want to (yes, I can pout and whine with the best of them) so I asked the nurse to double check that he really wants me to go and am waiting for that call. I guess Friday or next week, I call the psychiatrist ....
Anway, thanks for responding

With those symptoms...

...calling the Dr. does NOT make you "...one of those patients..."
These are nowhere near normal or common symptoms.
For al we know, based on the witch's brew of meds you take, they well could be side effects of that.
Those are NOT going to show up on any monitors they have.
Call today & do not let them blow you off like a dust particle.

My pacemaker is intact and working great.
Background?

You didn't give any background so I'm not sure what led up to getting the PM. However based upon your description where you're dropping things I don't feel you're "one of those patients" and should get yourself checked out. Something else is going on that isn't being picked up by the home monitor.
Working with someone who can explain what is going on will be tremendous help. There may be some things that are happening which led up to you getting the PM but, even then, your symptoms are much more severe than mine.
I've got idiopathic tremors (twitching) but not to the point where I'm dropping things.
Get checked out as quickly as you can.
