My last 7 days Holter monitor showed very low burden of Afib/Aflutter (0.17%) and AV Node irregularities: AV Block 1, Mobitz 1, BBB. Just back from my appointment with EP, expecting my ablation to be scheduled soon. I understand that early ablation intervention in Afib is recommended, however, i am very concerned that AV issues i have can be made worse as a result of ablation and require PM as a result. I only had 2 episodes of Afib in the last year, one lasting 2 hours and another...

Just wanted to update my previous spine progrosis. Just saw a second opinion Spine Doctor. This one said no to surgery until i correct my underlining problem of Osteoporosis That if he puts the glue in one fracture. Another fracture can occur and more glue. Plus he thought i might be allergic to the glue used.
Said i should see an Endrocronologist or a Rheumatologist. Also said their might be new drug or something that could help me grow bone.

I had my pacer implanted in 2021. I use MyCareLink Heart as my remote tracker anyone else out there tha uses the same App on there iPhone. The app does for the most part work well but I do have one problem. On the dashboard of the app the is a tile for physical activity. It tracks for daily weekly and monthly. My problem is every 2-3 weeks it will go blank and after a day or 2 comes back. I like to see it and trust it. My fear is if it goes blank how am I to know the rest of the apps working....

Hello. I have a Biotronik implanted in April. I went to a Bryan Adam's concert three weeks ago, sitting near the front. As soon as the music started I realised it was a bad idea. I felt very disturbing vibrations coming up from the floor and got a marked tachycardia. My cardiologist thinks this was due to the pacemaker mistaking the vibration for extreme activity rather than an electromagnetic effect.
Has anyone experienced similar?

I am wondering if anyone has or is taking a beta blocker and has trouble sleeping. Since being being dx with LBBB and getting my ICD in 2018. My cardiologist put me on bisoprolol and I have had trouble sleeping. I wake up at least 2 or 3 times during the night.l quite often have trouble going back to sleep. I also have dreams every night and often wake up tired. Before my heart issue I would very rarely remember dreaming. I also have fatigue which I think is from not getting enough sleep...

Yesterday, I received my pacemaker. My hobby is restoring old cars, so there is a fair amount of welding and cutting.
I've read about faraday T-Shirts and Hoodies, does anyone have a view concerning how effective a faraday T-shirt/Hoodie would be at protecting a pacemaker.
Another thing I read was "...twisting the wires together...." so does that mean you're twisting the ground cord and the welding cord around each other?

Today I am fully recovered from the bout of diverticulitus and feeling the best I've felt in months--really since I don't know when. Happily, the improvement in mental clarity is keeping pace with the physical, and it seems reasonable to hope, i.e. within the realm of possibility, that more improvement is coming.
Let this be a reminder to us all, that yes, you have a heart condition, and yes, you have a pacemaker, but not everything that happens is being caused by the...

They were training so there were two technicians present. I told them about a few near fainting spells I have been having recently as well as some breathlessness and they confirmed non sustained VT episodes had been recorded.
We discussed the possibility of a second lead to the left ventricle, since I only have a single lead to the Right Ventricle at the moment which is now dilated, as are my two upper chambers. They have requested another echocardiogram and are referri...

I have sick sinus syndrome with bradycardia and infrequent tachycardia. I'm 76 and very active. I filed horses hooves yesterday and wonder if there are magnets in a side grinder. 🧐 I'll get my Biotronik pacemaker next Monday. There are so many things to learn. I've been reading as much as possible from unhappy campers as well as those who have been relatively complication free. I think mental attitude has a huge influence and I'm optimistic because I'm asymptomatic mostly....

I had my third pacemaker installed last November. They told me it is set so that the pulse cannot go below 60. However, I have a new cuff at home, also an oxi-pulse finger device which many times record a HR of as low as 38. Has anyone else had this problem?
Another thing is they were going to change the 2 lead wires which are now 22 years old. But last minute they decided not to, due to my age (88) and possible bleeding etc. The one wire is known to give off &quo...

I see my EP every 3 months and my appt was last week. They did some adjusting, but no ventricular arrhythmias.
They uploaded my report to my portal....a first! They mentioned I am have tachycardia and pvcs, which I'm aware of between symptoms and my Apple watch.
I have an Abbott CRT-D. There is an alert saying "V Sense Amplitude below 4.0 mV.
Can anybody explain the alert to me? It actually says 2 alerts on the report but it onl...

Since my PM implant in July I've been back several times at various places for device changes. The process I've experienced is:
- the device tech connects to the PM (in my case a Boston Scientific)
- changes/adjustments are made either based on my input or on an exercise stress test
- the device is programmed with the new settings
A visit report is produced. There's a lot of data there including the changes made and current settings. There's also quite...

I am a 54 year old endurance cyclist, cycle guide and coach, who, 6 weeks ago, had a pacemaker implanted for 3rd degree heart block. The pacemaker is a Biotronic Evity 8 DRT.
I will see my operating physician shortly and I was wondering if it would be necessary to have the upper pacing limit engaged (as this is currently disabled).
After 2 weeks, my physician told me that only my lower limit is set at 45 bpm (my resting heart rate is 38) and my upper limit is not engaged.&nbs...

Hi everyone.
I am a 54 year old endurance cyclist, cycle guide and coach, who, 6 weeks ago, had a pacemaker implanted for 3rd degree heart block.
I have developed pain around the pacemaker in the chest, swelling in the left arm and purple bruising along the blood vessels around my left shoulder. I feared an infection or thrombosis and was checked in the local hospital and given the all clear to go home. However the pain, swelling and purple bruising still remain and it's...

Hello, I had a 6 month pacemaker check back on October 5th. My atrial pacing had gone from 12% to 25% in that 6 month. However my bigger concern is the check I had today showed an increase from 25% to 48% in just under 2 months. I have not had any change in settings. I do have increased shortness of breath and tiredness. I plan on talking with my cardiologist soon but wanted to ask if anyone has experienced anything like this and what might have caused it. I feel like something isn't righ...
