Hi, it’s me again! I feel like a hypochondriac, but I know this is real and not imagined. I’m a 62 yr old female. PM, Boston scientific, dual lead, put in 9/12/19, Sick Sinus syndrome, Brady-Tachycardia. Pm set to 60, with rate response adjustment due to hr not going up enough during exercise. During exercise, intense pain in my heart. Called dr EP said, not pacemaker related, cardiologist had me come in for a pm interrogation. Tech said it appears that I’m sensitive to...

I shaerd in another post about how bad I felt after physical activity - totally washed out in fact.
I attributed it to my heart rate not getting to the level it needed to meet my oxygen requirement for what I was doing.
A close friend called me and asked how it went ...he knew I was going to attack the gym yesterday afternoon.
I explained to him my theory which was supported by evidence and how I would soon be going to the doctor with hope they could tweak my PM to help.

Hi everyone. Does anyone else feel their ICD? I have my follow up appointment tomorrow for a wound check. I had mine put in a week ago Tuesday but I can literally feel it right by my armpit. On the edge of it, top of the pit. And when I move my arm across my chest I can really feel it and feel some resistance because of it there. Also, when does the skin stop feeling so tight around the device! I know it settles in after a while, but I think mine may hav...

I`d had my combined Boston PM/DIFIB for 6 years and during that time I swear it has been affected by electrical interference but when I`ve suggested it the idea has been dismisted. On one occasion the logging on the PM showing iregular pacing and the time of a text on my mobile were the same ! If fact I cannot prove it but I am sure on one occasion it may have caused the difib the shock me !
Has anybody experienced this? Thanks mg

Having My PM replaced next week. Dual Lead Boston PM. Initial Implant date 10/2012, implanted due to Bracacardia. HB dropped to 20BPM.
Today I am 70 Years old, currently 100% paced, set at 60 BPM. Here is my question.
I currently have few if any complaints after 7-8 years. I hope when the unit is replaced things remain the same.
Any thing in Particular i should watch out for and\or ask my PM Doctor for before the surgery.

hello,
hope all had a nice Thanksgiving! On Monday Nov 25, I went to see my EP for a follow up. PM surgery was on 9/12/19. I have SSNS Bradycardia/Tachycardia. Pm has helped with Bradycardia, meds have not been successful for the Tachycardia. After reviewing my interrogation, he told me that 3v3n during exercise my hr is not going up very high, so he adjusted the pm to be reactionary to exercise. ( not sure if that is correct terminology, but I hope you can understand what I a...

Once and for all -- I know that the consensus here is to just walk through airport security. But I'm still a bit anxious/confused. It seems like there are two technologies: 1) a "metal detector" which one should not walk through; or 2) "advanced imaging technology," i.e. the backscatter machine, which we should just walk through, although you do have to stand in place for few moments on this one. You can be wanded, but the wand shouldn't lin...

Hi All,
I've just had a PM fitted 3 weeks ago and suddenly had severe anxiety attacks after I felt mild stabbing pains and palpitations. I think this maybe normal when my PM is kicking in but my anxiety is severely affecting my family, social and work life. Can anyone give me some advise to cope please? Has anyone felt this way? I'm trying Lorazepam, breathing exercises and meditation but i'm still having attacks. I'm trying to be mentally strong but I am scared of being...

I'm a new PM user. I love my little iPhone six that fits in the top left pocket of by dress shirts. My PM is on left side. I'm an old dude, so I have a skinny butt. Putting my phone in my pants pocket isn't a good option because it makes my pants fall down.
Can I safely keep putting my phone in my top left pocket with my PM also on the left side?

Recently found a lump under one nipple and of course, its on the same side as my bivent pacemaker.
I'm wondering if it wouldnt be better to have an ultrasound but it wont be me making the decision, it will be a breast clinician. Am quite concerned about the mammogram, as there is not much flesh there and the pacemaker itself, flops about in the pocket. Also, that they might pull on the third wire, which is keeping me alive. If they disrupt that, I...

That's my story: thank you for judging for yourself.
1. I have been working with Apple computers since 1989. I am very satisfied with their products, so I buy with confidence.
2. I am 81 years old.
3. My cardiologist advises me to buy an iWatch to record my electrocardiograms and send them to him when I am abroad.
it is therefore vital health info.
4. I go to Apple Brussels (mid 2019) and buy an Apple iWatch. I am not warned of any "...
