Hi just wondering how long it takes to get used to the Pacemaker under your skin? I got mine 8/22/19 and still feel like a burning, soar sensation. Also how long before I can lay on my stomach comfortably? Can anyone relate?

I got Assurity 2272 implanted on August 1, 2019.
Whenever I check my pulse it is regular all the time. My doctor says I been in A Fib all the time.
Can I have Afib or Aflutter as my heart has been beating regularly.
Thank you in advance.

Last week I felt like my heart did something I don't know what then my Pacer area started to heat up a little bit for a couple seconds kind of like my Pacer did something. Has anybody experienced this before and should I inform my ep. I just saw her last month and she gave my heart more time to think on it's own because of intermittence. First time feeling that sensation.

Hello,
I´m 43 years old and have had my pacemaker for 4 months.
After pacemaker implant been suffering from insomnia (sleeping 3 to 5 hours a night and waking up during those few hours).
Before pacemaker my rest rate would be 20-30 bpm. Pacemaker is set to 50 bpm.
Contacted my Doctor but she says it´s not related.
Anyone struggling with insomnia after pacemaker?

I had a fall 4 weeks ago and broke a bone in each foot, as you can imagine it has been extremely difficult. I have become reliant on my friends wheelchair but am now having alot of pain on my pacemaker side and wondered if this was just muscle. I am worried I may be moving the wires with the continual repeated movement of my arms. Hopefully the plaster will come off this week and I will be able to stand again and stop using wheelchair.
Has anyone else had this pr...

I have had my PM for 6 months, and recently I have noticed a dull small pain that last for a few seconds in the heart? It is random and mild pain, but enough to make me curious. It is about a 3/10 pain level. Is this normal?

PM is scheduled for 10/24 as well as loop recorder removal and I am so nervous about it. Scared how it will change my life and put limitations on my life. I am 43 and was told my bradycardia has gotten to the point I need a PM. My heartbeat just randomly drops and I get lightheaded with shortness of breath. Heart issues have taken my brother, sister and most recently my mother. I have been very proactive with my heart health but coming to the realization that this is happening has me que...

I have a low EF ( 15-20%) and my cardiologist is recommending a pacemaker. i have no blockages, never had a heart attack. i have hypothyriodism and they think that is the root cause of my heart issues. i have been only taking medication for 2months for the heart ( basic/low level meds) and just started 2 weeks of thyroid meds. i seen a drastic improvement in my thryroid but no change in my EF.
I feel like i could run a marathon or play golf or do the things i used to do before hav...

I am 80 years old and my pacemaker is set at 75 beat - it is pacing 80% of the time I am told. Does a pacemaker keep you alive indefinitely? LOL sorry - just wondering - I really dont want to live to 100! lol

I posted previously regarding the fact that even after these procedures I am come out of sinus and are picking up arrythmias on my BP machine. My BP is all over the place and I am breathless most of the time especially after eating. I know when I have an arrythmia as I feel really ill and breathless and when it goes away I feel better and can go shopping or do my housework. This is done at a slow pace otherwise I come to a fullstop. My pacemaker is working as it should...

My ultra Fitbit has been registering a low heart rate reading of 59-64 lately. I wear it loose on my wrist. This is a low resting rate for me. Do you find that your fit bits are not accurate with readings?

Hello folks...i got my PM in February 2019. So far no problem.
But is there anyone who can and would reasonably answer this question:
is it ok to split wood for the fireplace? Is it ok, border line or down right dangerous? with a moderate swing or a little harder?
I posted this question months ago but I got no comment-no reply...
Please anyone come back to me, a "I wouldn't know/never heard of it" answer would be better than nothing, it's a clue.

I had this done as drugs were not effective and my shortness of breath increased. My pacemaker is set at 70bpm. I am due to return to my EP next month after having a further pulmonary vein isolation which left me after 8weeks back in AF and breathless. It is the breathlessness that is my big problem which only shows itself on exertion. I am fine whilst sitting and laying flat. I feel very despondent that the breathless continues after the work performed.&nb...
