Allergic to dressing Help please

Hi lovely people. I had a battery replacement on Monday and I’m allergic to the wound dressing. I’m wondering if it’s ok to just take the dressing off, it’s been five days. Hospital advised keeping covered for 7 days.

Not sure I can cope with the itching of the plaster adhesive much longer. Advice welcomed please and thanks

Pain in left breast

Question for the women here. I have had my pm since september 28th 2018. I haven't had that many issues with it. The last few days I have been having a lot of pain in my left breast and today it is hurting a lot more than it has the last few days. Like it hurts to even try to take off my bra and it is a front closing bra so there really shouldn't be any issues there. But even when my kitten comes up to try and give love she puts her paw on my boob and that even hurts. It's not lik...

It looks like I’m moving from a dual lead to a hiss bundle pacer , anyone have one ?

So my battery is gonna die , which means new device time .

Due to my ejection fraction (45%), and the fact that I’m 100% paced , it has been  suggested by my cardiologist and his team that I either go with a biventricular pacer , or a new his bundle pacer , with a strong suggestion towards the his bundle pacer . I’m having a venogram in just a little to check for vein ‘openess’ In order to see if lead removal is feasible , and how to proce...

Pacemaker Removed to Join Military

Hey Everyone,

I had a pacemaker implanted when I was 12 because I had been diagnosed with bradycardia. I stopped using it completely after 2 months after the surgery. A few years ago, my doctor told me I can get it removed because I might have not needed it in the first place.

Now that it’s been out for 2 years with no problems. I’m planning to join the military. The recruiters say it’s a unique situation.

Does anyone have any experience wi...

AV Node ablation

I had an AV Node ablation in 1995 and pacemaker insertion. I had a replacement in 2009 and just got my 2nd replacement last week. I have always had questions for my cardiologist about what happens if the pacemaker malfunctions; but they always say very low chance. Which is probably true since it’s been 24 years. It just scares me for some reason. I found this pacemaker club, and was just wondering if there are others out there and if they can share any insight.

Blue Diamond

I have been looking into Viagara. Not for erectile dysfunction but simply for an increased bloodflow. My wife and I get intimate, and every now and then as all guys do, i get distracted. My friend gave me a 100mg blue diamond. generic nonetheless, but still real. I am trying to do as much looking into it as possible. Everything is coming back as the pacemaker doesnt care lol.

I'm 26, and probably don't need it. I think 100mg may be a little too strong for me. Just looking...

afib questions

I don't know a whole lot about afib, could use some advice. My mom has had it for years. She doesn't tolerate meds well but the afib had been mild and controlled so she's been getting by on a low dose of sotalol. When it increased last year they added a blood thinner. Now it's getting worse again. She feels ok but it's happening more often.

She went to an ep to discuss ablation. He said it was up to her, if she wanted to do it call and they would schedule...

Motorcycling?

Just wondering if there are other motorcycle riders here? If so how has your experience been? I just got my pacemaker (non ICD kind) 3 days ago. The whole thing happened fast so I am still in a haze about it. I have always been somewhat athletic and enjoy outdoor activities. First issues probably started years ago, but I thought exercise and diet would help, no such luck.

Thanks for your reply’s

Post Op

Hi all! I’m six hours post op, and still in the hospital. I’m experiencing pain in my sternum when I breathe. Anyone else have anything like that? The doctor says it’s probably trauma from the implantation.

Blood Pressure with Pacemaker

Two and a half months now with my pacemaker.  I dealt with some heart palpitations on and off during my 6 week recovery period.  Since I have been increasing my activity and exercise I have been feeling pretty great lately.  Now my blood pressure seems to be slightly elevated though.  I had a doctor appointment the other day and my doctor mentioned the BP.  Since then I have been checking it at home because my doctor wants reports in about a month and its not going do...

Hi everyone!!

just wanted to ask everyone on their  opinion, I live in the UK and 5g is being installed. I have read a few articles and seen new reports. I was just wondering if anyone had an any useful information or peoples views on this as new reports are saying it “could” be bad for people that have a pacemaker or a defibrillator device.

Copd test

I'm having a COPD check, which usually lasts for 30 minutes soon and wondered if it was safe to do this with left bundle branch blockage and a pacemaker. A nurse at my previous practice said this puts the heart under too much stress. Anyone know how safe this is.

I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for pacemakers. I've had mine for 35+ years. I was fainting all of the time and had flat-lined also. I feel very blessed to live in this time of technology.
