Pain in left breast

Question for the women here. I have had my pm since september 28th 2018. I haven't had that many issues with it. The last few days I have been having a lot of pain in my left breast and today it is hurting a lot more than it has the last few days. Like it hurts to even try to take off my bra and it is a front closing bra so there really shouldn't be any issues there. But even when my kitten comes up to try and give love she puts her paw on my boob and that even hurts. It's not like she is heavy and has a lot of pressure to put on that area. I was just wondering if any of you ran into that kind of issue and what you did. Not sure if i should be calling the cardiologist or if I should be calling the gyno and see about getting a mammogram done...if already scares me to have my next one since it usually slides down right where my pm is. Just need to know if I should be worrying or not.  TIA!

I had my first device put in January 17 (2019) and a few weeks later started having horrible pain in my left breast (it reminded of when I was nursing and got mastitis!). I wasn't contant but had it A LOT and finally went back to the doctor, because it also seemed like it was moving around. He checked it out and didnt think it was where he had originally put it so had me get an x-ray, and yes, the suture had broken and it was moving around behind the breast causing the pain. I went back and had a pocket revision a few days later (April 17) and made sure he had it sutured in more than one spot. It's been great ever since then, no more pain like before.

I'd start with the cardiologist and see if they'll do an x-ray. Easier - and less painful than a mammogram!

Thank you so much!! I will start there and see if they can figure out what is going on. Maybe I can get them to do an X- Ray as well just to make sure it is all where he put it. Again, Thank you so much!!

You’re welcome - I hope they can figure it out quickly for you. I know it can be pretty unnerving not knowing what’s going on, especially when you’re in pain.

They let me have a CD with the X-ray showing where it had dropped down to that was taken four days before the pocket revision surgery. I have it posted in the Member Gallery on this  Pacemaker Club site. I thought it was pretty interesting. So crazy to see what’s inside of you!

I am having the same issue. Horrible pain in my left breast. I had my pacemaker implanted on April 18, 2019. I had to have a lead revision on May 9, 2019 and have been in terrible pain since then.
