Interrogation after effect

I had to have my cardio tech look at my incision today to see what was sticking out of my skin. Looked like a gold colored stitch or wire. He said it was okay and will eventually wash off. THEN he came at me with the interrogator disc and I told him I wasn''t there for that. He said it needed to be checked so he did it. Well that same thing happened this time as it did the time before. old, non-functioning pacemaker discomfort

Hello,

 I'm 20 years old and have a congentical heart block and have had 4 battery changes so far... Recently, I tore the pocket of my functioning pacemaker in the upper left corner of my chest (at least thats what we think) because there is a lot of swelling that won't stay down so we're thinking surgery is the plan.... I'll know more after my next doctor visit in a couple days.

Misplaced Lead

Now about 5 weeks out from PM implantation. Shortly after the PM was put in I noticed a lot of unusual rhythm issues. I asked my EP at the Mayo Clinic to PLEASE get me an event monitor so she could see what was going on. I was having runs of Afib and other odd beats coming out of the right atrium (where the lead is currently at on the right side) . A new set of eyes looked at me.

Well it's almost been 3 months since I got my 1st pacemaker. I have not felt right since I got it so I went to another doctor. He looked over my records and said he would not have suggested a pm and that there are better ways to treat my issues. He turned my pm down to 30 and if all looks good in a month he recommends taking it out. It was put in to treat sick sinus syndrome.

Pacemaker Log - 6 weeks post op, and lead has detached... Again...

Pain from pacemaker

I'am a 34 yr old who went into a full heart block 7 weeks ago and had Medtronic dual chamber pm installed. I have had numerous problems. I was hospitalized twice within the first week due to severe pain in the middle of my chest. I was also having a lot of dizziness and thankfully with some adjustments it has calmed down quite a bit. Twinges

I'm 2 weeks into recovery from pacemaker surgery and still getting twinges under left breast.  They don't cause pain, just uncomfortable!  Last week I was checked at doctor's office.  They lowered settings, and even shut one off.  Leads are in place.  My concern is that I still get these twinges generally with activity. Frustrated - chest and throat pressure.

In another post a couple days ago, I explained that I have chest and throat pressure since having my PM implanted - which by the way, I never once had BEFORE the PM.  I made an appointment to see my cardiologist yesterday, only to go to the office and be told they messed up the appointment and my doctor wasn't even in the building yesterday.  The receptionist spoke with the device tech who said to her that my symptoms "can't have anything to do with my PM", wh...

POTS

Hi everyone, Just released from ICU after 4 days. A little History, received a Medtronic dual chamber pacer 1 yr ago for SSS/chronotrophic incompetence. Diagnosed with Pots 6 mths ago and placed on corlanor and metoprolol. Started having svts again with minimal exertion. Admitted with atrial flutter, svt's , and episodes of v-tach. The new EP wants me to discontinue the corlanor and go on fludrocortisone which he says is the treatment for pots. This drug seems to have so many side effects...

My heart is fighting my pacemaker

My cardiologist just told me that this is what he thinks is causing me to have pacemaker syndrome symptoms. Has this happened to anyone else? I got my pm 3/24/17 and since that time I haven't felt like my normal self. My bp is lower than normal, sometimes really low. I get lightheaded every time I bend over.  Or even lean into the washing machine to get out laundry. (I'm short.)

Collapsed lung

Hi has anyone had a collapsed lung after pacemaker? There were 2 other people in my ward with collapsed lung after having a similar procedure and they had all been done at the same hospital. Does this seem excessive as I thought it was a low percentage complication.

Tingeling sensation

Its all wrong

Pacemakers are supposed to make you feel better. I felt fine before I got mine and in the 2 months since I got it, nothing has felt right!

I am in hell.

I have had one adjustment so far which helped. The EP turned off one of my leads that was giving me a weird heartbeat sensation below my left breast. He said I didn't need that lead on.

Dancing pacemaker

So tonight my pacemaker decided to dance around. It has done this before, but never while I was with someone. Well, tonight I have four witnesses. I was not moving and I softly said to my husband "watch my pacer" and there it went, it danced, up and down and side to side, small motions. Our friends cought on to my husband watching it and saw it as well. Torn pocket?

Has anyone torn their pocket just a bit? I am 4 weeks post 1st implant and when I was getting dressed, I think I possibly tore the pocket a little. I felt a pop and a little pain. The pm appears to be in the same spot as before, but feels just a bit different. If it tore a small amount, will it heal back up on it's own? I have put my immobilizer back on and plan to wear it for the next day or 2 so it doesn't have a chance to move.

Whither His-bundle pacing?

I spent the night in the hospital Wednesday being "observed" because I came into the ER complaining of chest pain lasting six hours. The pain was never severe ( around 5-6 on pain scale) and waxed and waned but never went away.
