Dancing pacemaker

So tonight my pacemaker decided to dance around. It has done this before, but never while I was with someone. Well, tonight I have four witnesses. I was not moving and I softly said to my husband "watch my pacer" and there it went, it danced, up and down and side to side, small motions. Our friends cought on to my husband watching it and saw it as well. It went on for an hour off and on. It's the strangest feeling. Anyone else? I have mentioned it to the EP, but nothing ever comes of it. A few months back I could swear it vibrated, almost like getting a text on silent. Went to the ER, nothing! My PM doesn't have a warning device, it is just monitored with interrogations.

Make a video

by Gotrhythm - 2017-05-27 13:12:47

A couple of months ago a member reported something similar. It might be worthwhile to go through the archives and look up his post. Sorry, I don't recall any details.

But I do remember that he had the presence of mind to whip out his smartphone and record a video which he showed to his EP.

I thought that was very smart, and it did make a difference when the EP was able to see what the member was talking about.

Vibration

The real difference between a vibrator and a pacemaker ...location, location, location.

Some devices have warnings and transmit a signal to you in various ways. Some are audible and some are a vibration. Check with your Cardio or Electrophysiologist to see if something is amiss and you are receiving a warning.

You know you're wired when...

Titanium is your favorite metal.

Your anxiety is normal. It takes some of us a little time to adjust to the new friend. As much as they love you, family and friends without a device just cannot understand the adjustment we go through. That is why this site is so valuable.
