Hello,
I'm 20 years old and have a congentical heart block and have had 4 battery changes so far... Recently, I tore the pocket of my functioning pacemaker in the upper left corner of my chest (at least thats what we think) because there is a lot of swelling that won't stay down so we're thinking surgery is the plan.... I'll know more after my next doctor visit in a couple days.
Apart from this, I started noticing discomfort around an old pacemaker that I have from when I was first born (because I was too small for the usual placement and therefore is in my stomach...the battery eventually died and was never removed). Honestly its extremely uncomfortable because I just notice its existance, which has happened before, but never to this extent. It bothers me to sit a certain way, bend over, or even lay down flat and straight because I can feel it as I breathe. It just feels like a little bit of pressure and it sometimes cramps but when I touch over the area it all feels the same as usual...Any ideas? This feels super inconvenient with a potential upcoming surgery to fix the other one :/

It is just over 10 years since a dual lead device was implanted for complete heart block. It has worked perfectly and I have traveled well near two million miles internationally since then.
