Coughing from what seemed to be bronchitis. Cough is not from my chest anymore, however it is as though my air is being cut off when I cough because I almost blacked out twice (vision narrowed; dark). It feels like something in my Adam's apple area is stopped up. Anyone else have this happen?

Hello, I was born 1951 and have experienced PVCs for 20+ years with no intervention. On July 28, 2018, I had a 'small' heart attack that caused some damage to my left ventricle. After six sessions of cardiac rehab my symptons are getting worse, not better. I have been advised to lay low until I meet an EP on 9/19. Tests showed no blockages. I did wear a monitor for 7 days, shortly after the heart attack. The PVCs seemed to subside for a while after the HA, but have now returned.

Hi, my name is Christina and on the 28th of September I will be getting a PM put in for bradycardia. For years I have dealt with tachycardia issues until July of this year when I got sick. I was sick for about a week and half, ended up in the er and thats when they noticed my low blood pressure and had trouble getting a heart rate. Since then i have had issues with both. My cardiologist finally suggested this past friday about getting a PM put in. I was wondering what all to expect right befo...

I am a 74 year old male who is two weeks post surgery. The implant surgery went very well and I did not need any pain medication other than a few OTC pain killers. When I was in the doctors office last week he stated that the pacemaker is "firing 84% of the time". The good side it's doing what it should be doing. The down side, in my mind is that 20 out of 24 hours a day it is telling my heart to beat faster in order to keep it above the bo...

Thank you for your word of encouragement, but, I know life will never be the same. It was put in without my knowlege or authorisation. Last time I spoke with the specialist they thought that I was joking. Now I have a Legal Spokes person who is willing to speak for me to have it shut down. At least I can carry on as I used to without fear of going through that pain again.

Hi, there. Just an intro posting here -- my PM implant is scheduled for 10/3/18.
I've been battling AFIB, with associated brachycardia and tachycardia for over three years. I have left bundle branch blockage, underlying sick sinus rhythm and -- maybe other stuff (which goes over my head). I've had 5 cardioversions and 2 cardiac ablations in that time, and they cannot fix the AFIB. Docs are more worried about the high rate causing heart failure now.

I had a 2 lead pacemaker (Medtronic) installed in about 2013 due to arrhythmia. In May 2016 I had artery blockage (heart attack) requiring a stent. After several days requiring 10 liters of oxygen my pacemaker Doc was called in & recommended a 3 lead pacemaker be installed, a St. Jude model. Through cardiac rehab I was able to gradually reduce then eliminate use of external oxygen. My only problem is the movement of my pacemaker. When lying down it turns out on edge. Can th...
