ICD

Thank you for your word of encouragement, but, I know life will never be the same. It was put in without my knowlege or authorisation. Last time I spoke with the specialist they thought that I was joking. Now I have a Legal Spokes person who is willing to speak for me to have it shut down. At least I can carry on as I used to without fear of going through that pain again.

Can't completely shut it down....

Realistically, an ICD can't be completely shut down.  They can turn off the shock part of it but the pacing part always stays active.  It would have to be removed.  Just thought I'd point that out.  I hope you get what you want.
