Clothing To Block RFID and EMP

My PM has been installed for 3 days and I have been reading the Medtronic owners manual. I am a remote pilot and a metal fabricator.

I was wondering if I can buy clothes to protect my PM from interference that comes from the remote controllers that I use to control the drones that I fly during missions. The Medtronic Manual says keep antennas 6 inches away from the PM. Knowing me, I will forget that during most missions because the controller is strapped around my neck.

New large Air Purifier

Hi!

In the school classroom of my child who has a PM there now a new very large Air Purifier, it's built into a high wall-cupboard. I don't worry at all about those small air purifiers in regards to intereferences, but would you check the details of the machine in few of the size? I haven't seen it myself yet, but I'm told it has even exhaust air ducts (correct word? sorry my english)

Thanks!

TIG Welding

Hi, I've been advised not to TIG weld with my new pacemaker, but I've seen posts elsewhere which indicate it is OK if you take certain precautions.
I wondered whether the members on here have any relevant information or personal experiences they would like to share?

Thanks

Electric guitars and Pacemaker/ICD

Hey

I've had a PM/ICD for many years (since 2009).  Wonderful devices.  I just got the urge to learn guitar and bought my self a Squier Telecaster.   It might be in my head but I keep feeling funny (PVCs) while playing sitting with the unhooked up guitar in my lap.  Checked the internet and most people say the guitar pickups are too week to have and impact.  Anyone have experience here?  Is there a way to shield myself from the magnets in the picku...

Can a recliner with heat & vibration affect a Pacemaker

I am looking to purchase a new recliner that has heat and vibration for my back.  I know that certain items interfere with Pacemakers,  I have a Biotronic Edora 8 DR-T (Pro MRI) pacermaker. Has anyone asked this question before, and received any answers.  I was shopping this weekend, but the person I need to speak with in Customer Service is off till Monday.  I also tried to download the manual for my pacemaker, but it won't download.

Thanks

heartratesensors interfere pacemaker ?

Do heart rate sensors affect the functioning of pacemakers?

I was very uncomfortably slowed down while jogging today. Only after I turned the HF sensor to the opposite side of the thorax did the pacemaker function properly (Boston Scientific Proponent and Garmin HF sensor)

Current from incontinence treatement by electrostimulation

I would like to do physical therapy with electrostimulation for incontinence problems. I don't know how much current those machines produce, but it's not much. The same machine is used by physical therapists for muscular stimulation. In my case, it woud be  used pretty far away from the heart. But my cardiologist is overly careful and says I shouldn't, altho he isn't sure of that. So I need to know if any of you have experience with this. How much current can a KORA 250 D...

MRI scan

I've contacted someone about a possible MRI scan only to be told they won't do it on someone with a pacemaker. So what is the point of my model of pacemaker being 'MRI friendly' 🤦‍♀️😳

I will try to contact other places. Does anyone have any experience of this?

ARCADE GAMES

Hi!

I just got my PM 3 weeks ago and I went to a bar yesterday full of arcade machines. My PM felt like it was on fire and I had lots of palpitations. Does anyone know if those games cause EM interference? I couldn't find anything on the PM manufacturer guide.

Thanks in advance :)

Backpack with magnet on the chest strap

Hi, I am Nico, 39 years old and I have a pacemaker fitted on the 16th of May 2017, a St Jude Endurity. I wanted to buy a motorcycle backpack from Velomacchi (the one at this link: https://www.velomacchi.com/products/28l-speedway-backpack), but I noticed that the backpack has a big circular magnet on the chest strap. Will this be safe to use with my pacemaker or should I avoid that? I have asked the manufacturer directly but they replied to me that they have no idea so I was wondering if any o...

A pacemaker completely solved my problem. In fact, it was implanted just 7 weeks ago and I ran a race today, placed first in my age group.
