I do not know if this is the correct area to post this question. Here goes: Does anyone have a little station/monitor for a pacemaker that hooks up to a phone landline? The monitor/station communicates with the nurse practioner's office or with the cardiologist? I use a Boston Scientific pacemaker and was given the option to take one of those little station/monitors home. You plug it into an old-fashioned landline. I told the NP that I have a port for a landline ...

Have been having trouble since an adjustment made in the delay time of my PM in mid-December. After having sent some data to the device clinic I see, my EP's nurse had an appointment made for me to go back in sooner than originally planned. That appointment was Friday Dec-30. My PM was originally operating 2.8% of the time in the bottom chamber after my 2 week appointment and so they had increased the delay time by 40 milliseconds. Following that I was feeling short of breath and weak wal...

My atrial P-wave amplitude measurements have been consistently around 4.0 mV for the past 8 years. My latest device interrogation returned a measured P-wave amplitude of 8.3 mV, a clear spike from previous measurements.
Does anyone have an idea of why this could be? Perhaps a sign of right atrial enlargement, pulmonary hypertension... any thoughts?
Thank you!

Is there some type of report that I can obtain from the EP showing all the different settings and changes that have been done to my pacemaker. (Changes were only made one time) I am seeing him Wednesday and don't know if he will make any changes as I am having a nuclear cardiac echo and stress test today.
I have an appointment with a new EP next week for a second opinion because I do not feel that the first doctor is making the needed adjustments.
Than you.

Hey Everyone,
I had my follow up appointment with my EP to have my pacemaker interrogated, make sure the leads are still in place, have remaining bandages removed, and see that the incision is healing. Everything was looking good and still in place. I was told that the PM was turning on for the area they are most concerned with 2.8% of the time. My heart block was only occurring when engaging in cardio based physical activity and since getting the PM I have not been allowed to exercise...

i do have a question about sleep mode on my Biotroniks pacemaker....
But first off, my PCP did find part of my problem for my constant tiredness - I can now add to my list of many diagnoses - Adnreal Fatigue. My Adrenal Gland is producing the correct amount of Cortisol, but releasing it at the wrong time. My meds are suppose to come Friday and I pray they will help me.
For those who may not remember an earlier post I made about requesting the EP to turn off the CL...

a new pacemaker implanted 9-27-16, will be interrogated 12-19-16. Numerous episodes of fast heart beats---over 100 bpm. Other times have low heart rates. I feel dizzy, lightheaded. Will adjustments improve pacemaker function?

Hi All,
Well 6 weeks on from insertion I have just had my first interrogation - all went well and they are pleased with it. I had it inserted due to SSS and was naively hoping for a rapid improvement in energy levels. There has definitely been a marginal improvement but not massive. I am pacing 43% of the time and today in order to try and increase my energy a bit more they have increased my low setting from 60bpm to 65. In addition she removed the 'sleep' setting which was...

I've had my pacemaker since February of 2016 and it made me feel so much better and full of energy. Until about three weeks ago and then I felt like it was struggling to keep up with me (hard to explain). I went to the cardiologist today and he adjusted the pacemaker just a tiny bit. I asked him if I could come back in tomorrow if things didn't feel right and he said I wouldn't even know there had been an adjustment, I shouldn't feel it at all.
Well, ev...

Went to the EP doctor today. Only thing done was an EKG. He is ordering an echo of the heart and a stress test to be sure nothing is wrong with the heart itself. I am scheduled to see him again in 3 weeks. I guess that means 3 more weeks of hibernating 20+ hours a day 😢.

Hi.
I have had my pacemaker for three years and annual check ups since.
Never had a problem yet last week after I went in, a few alterations were made to settings and on the day, shortly after, and since, have felt unwell, grossly tired heart flipping on beats, headache.
I phoned the clinic on the day and was told that that was a coincidence as nothing they did could be the source of my situation
It all seems to be too coincidental.
Has anybody els...

My Medtronic crt/icd starting beeping at 9:00 pm this morning. It has gone off 6 times since than. The last two times it made me feel dizzy. Since this is Sat. no one to call about it. My info says it could mean battery status, status of leads ( which mine are being watched due to Sarcoid inflamation surrounding them). Or I'm have a number of thereapies being detected. It is quite upsetting, sounds like a police car in England! Any ideas out there?...

i see a few post and have had recommendations for the PM rep to be present for PM fine tuning. A few questions:
1 - During the 1st few months that you had your PM Did you have scheduled appointments with an EP or call if needed?
2 - If you have scheduled apps, how often did you see the EP?
3 - Many people mention having the PM rep there when they saw the EP. How do you manage that? Do you call the rep and request them to be there, when you make th...

Have had PM for 18 months (complete heart block) and just had pm check. I have gone from being originally 98% dependant to 55% at last check and now 86%. My question is- why has it increased again and is there anything I can do to make it decrease? I feel less energetic with PM than I did before too and it bothers me. Can anyone advise?
