Getting accustomed to pacemaker adjustments

I've had my pacemaker since February of 2016 and it made me feel so much better and full of energy. Until about three weeks ago and then I felt like it was struggling to keep up with me (hard to explain). I went to the cardiologist today and he adjusted the pacemaker just a tiny bit. I asked him if I could come back in tomorrow if things didn't feel right and he said I wouldn't even know there had been an adjustment, I shouldn't feel it at all.
Well, even as I was walking to my car I felt a little breathless and now that I'm home it feels like the pacemaker is overworking and I'm still a little breathless.
So my question is: Is there an adjustment period after an adjustment of the settings? In other words, should I give it a little time? Or should I call the doctor tomorrow and go back to have him change it back to what it was?

I have had my pacer since 2005. At first it ruled my life. It took some time to calm down and make the mental adjustment. I had trouble sleeping and I worried a lot about pulling wires. Now I just live my life as I wish.

Do you have a copy of the device report? I think you should keep copies of all your device reports.
