Hi - I had my 1st mammogram 8 months after my biotronik edora was implanted. I would say it did not go well on the pm side. It hurt and felt like the pm was being crushed and the rad tech was very accommodating. I am wondering how others did, I know its not the end of the world and I did survive but it was honesty a major BUG OUT!

Every 8 hours, to the minute, I have a pacing feeling in my neck. 8:15 PM, 4:15 AM and 12:15 PM. The feeling is not painful or accompaied by any other physical sensations. It is clearly coming from the pacemaker due to the prcise timing. No natual body function has a precise clock.
Any ideas??

Wishing everyone a better new year.
My resolution is to learn to ignore the "inner child" when she says it is ok to eat these two slices of pizza or a couple of pieces of rye bread. When the adult in me says no, it is not good for my A-fib episodes.
Just looked around my home nothing like that is here.
Will keep you posted on how we do.

Hello All,
Bit late about Xmas wish list for Pacemaker manufacturers-engineeries...but here is mineπ€ All your wish list posts are great and valid; however even if they did all exist, I for one didn't know what was going to happen to me (my first and last fainting) I hope ππ»π......so choosing options was out for me and perhaps π€ for many of you π

Hello!
Our child got her PM 2 years ago after syncopes and faintings. 11 seconds pauses at night.
Complete heart block with unclear cause. Never any heart issues before. Meanwile doctors believe it was caused by mild Covid or another virus and it might be recovered.
Since it was implantated it always only had 1% performance. The 1% can result from the daily self checks or it can be that the PM has to do its job, but very seldomly. Nobody could tell us so far if the pm...

Hi all! Merry Christmas Eve!
Sooo...I primarily had my device implanted 4 years ago for the ICD function but I also have the pacemaker function. Today, I was just resting on the couch and I got a little startled by what felt like a small electrical impulse. It felt a bit like what it feels like when they test my device at checkups. I have a little device at home that can check your pulse, so my husband put it on my finger almost right away. My pulse was in the 50's at...

Hello everyone, if you could change one or two things about your pacemaker, what would it be and what message would you send to your pacemaker manufacturer?
My message would be:
Dear Medtronic, My husband and I would both like to know if you could develop a pacemaker setting that could prevent a fall in our blood pressure like you have so successfully developed to prevent a fall in our heart rate? We are taking blood pressure and heart rate reducing meds but very occ...

Just curious who set up the most recent poll about the home monitor. I didn't participate because it didn't have my answer or anything close to my situation.
For future polls I think it should have included a response of every three months or less.

I have an Adapta pm implanted in 2010 and coming up on my first replacement soon. Medtronic told me the battery is encased so it won't be a battery change, but a pm replacement, keeping the same leads. My big concern here is my current cardiologist, who is wonderful, doesn't take my insurance. I tried to switch, but they don't take any of the three insurance providers available where I live. I'm trying to get the medical codes and cost, but does anyone know how much yours cost...

My CRT-D was repositioned last Wednesday. I was admitted by noon the day before for pre-op testing. My nerves were through the roof....a normal reaction for me. I was admitted into the CCU, and surgery was changed from 830 am to 11 am and then, 6 am Wednesday morning, they came to get me for 8 am surgery! I was so nervous I didn't get much sleep and was ready when they came to get me, and staff seemed unaware of the schedule change. The surgery turned out to...

I had my pacemaker procedure three years ago and it was a new life given to me then, I can do so much without running out of breath and am really happy about it.
Recently I found it very difficult to sleep at night, my quality of sleep has gone down dramatically and begins to worry.
Has anyone had similar experienced before and what have you done to solve it, please?

I had a pacemaker fitted end of September. Unfortunately it didn't connect properly and one of the wires is not working.
I am due to have this corrected tomorrow. However on Friday I saw my G.P because I have come down with a chest infection. The doctor thought it was adult croup.I am now on steroids and antibiotics The G.P didn't advise to cancel tomorrow's cardiac appointment, but since Iam not much better, should I still be having the pacemaker surgery?

Hi,
I've recently had some Atrial High Rate Episodes recorded by my device and was told that they mean 'Atrial Fibrillation', although my previous pacing team told me that they were Atrial Tachycardia. They happened during an exercise test when my heart rate rose to a higher rate than it usually manages and the pacemaker was therefore able to record them for the first time. It seems that my device can only detect atrial arrhythmia...

Hello everybody. Hopefullly I can get a little help or at least learn that I'm not the only one going through these things:
1) I have had my bi-v since 2016, and lately I can't go to sleep at a good time because I lay in the bed listening to my heart beat. On top pf that, I am only sleeping 4-5 hours a night. How do I get past anxiously listening to my heart beat every night? So far I have tried going to sleep with headphones listening to music, but to no avail.
2) La...

I made a startling discovery in the previous month, and so I thought I'd throw this out there in case anyone can benefit and/or just has an interest. I had two relatively minor strokes last month and was hospitalized for several days. Please understand that I am not suggesting you can draw any definitive conclusions from the info I am providing here. There is a need for much more research. So please draw you own conclusions.
I went to the ER twice over a two week period last month,...

I have started a casual job to help out with cost of living.
Part of this roll is to enter a steel container that holds a generator and start it up then at the end of the day step back in while it's running to turn it off.
Both procedures only takes a few minutes whats your thoughts on this?
I have tried Google but I can't get a clear answer
Thanks to any one who answer's
