XMAS - 2023πŸ™

Hello All,

Bit late about Xmas wish list for Pacemaker manufacturers-engineeries...but here is mineπŸ€—  All your wish list posts are great and valid;  however even if they did all exist, I for one didn't know what was going to happen to me (my first and last fainting) I hope πŸ™πŸ»πŸ€......so choosing options was out for me and perhaps πŸ€” for many of you 😊

I have received Medtronic dual lead in 2016 for Ventricular Standstill & Bradycardia.....Ensura DR MRI SureScan Pacemaker ❀️

First I am extremely greateful to Cardiologists and all Hospital Staff to recognise this Rare Arrhythmia; second that I live in the times when these amazing medical πŸ₯ facilities exist......May science and God work together and we will all benefit πŸ’ž           Happily aliveπŸ€—

πŸ™πŸ»Wish you ALL the best of health in 2023...and always.πŸ™πŸ»β€οΈ

Hello Millie,

I have deleted your duplicate post for you.

I see you have got your Christmas wish list order in early for 2023 and that you are hoping for no further episodes of fainting due to Ventricular Standstill and Bradycardia.  I am sure your pacemaker will protect you from both of these conditions now and in the future.

By the way, thank you for uploading your pics to the Gallery.  Good to see that you are so active and enjoying life.

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and I wish you all the very best in 2023 too.

I to was not given a choice as to which one.  Probably because it happened to fast for me.  Went for a stress test, was called that i was being refered to an EP.  Saw the doctor on a Friday and by Wednesday had a pacemaker.

Buying a house

In most cases you have no say in which pacemaker you get unless you change doctors and hospitals.  Hospitals usually have an exclusive contract with one of the suppliers.  It's more effective than having to support multiple manufacturers.

Choice about device

by Julros - 2022-12-30 22:54:50

My previous commments about having a say in which device was directed at those of us who bicycle, and swimmers who find that the accelerometer does not always respond well to activity. I recently had an upgrade to a CRT-D. I did not meet the EP who implanted my device and I was so nervous that I forgot to ask about minute ventilation capability. It was stated in my past history that I run and cycle, and I wish that, as long as it was getting replaced, that I could have at least been asked about my activiities.

When I asked about getting my original pacer adjusted for activity and why no one had offered that, I was laughed at and told "no one ever asks for that."

You know you're wired when...

Bad hair days can be blamed on your device shorting out.

I am just now 40 but have had these blackouts all my life. I am thrilled with the pacer and would do it all over again.
