Industrial Generator

I have started a casual job to help out with cost of living.

Part of this roll is to enter a steel container that holds a generator and start it up  then at the end of the day step back in while it's running to turn it off.

Both procedures only takes a few minutes whats your thoughts on this?

I have tried Google but I can't get a clear answer

Thanks to any one who answer's

Moe, it is lovely to hear from you after so long.  I guess your question depends on the generator size and capacity.  Are you able to provide more details.  What is the name of the generator?  Perhaps you could give more information for the technical crew which is certainly not me!

How are you otherwise Moe?  I hope you are doing well

Technically we should keep our distance from them, but practically it should be fine.

I toured our water treatment plant and went in the generator room. I was touring with a friend who happens to be a doctor and we were both curious to see if it would have any effect. It did not. I've also run our generator after a hurricane. I don't linger, get in and get out.

It's not going to do any damage. The worst that can happen is the pacer temporarily goes into test mode, same as when they put the puck on it to interrogate. It will go back to full function as soon as you get away from it.

If it were me, I'd be aware of how I felt the first few times around it, watch for signs that your rate is steady rather than going up and down as it should. If I felt ok, I'd continue on and not give it a thought.

You know you're wired when...

Your kids call you Cyborg.
