Hi - My son received Hasbro Laser Tag Guns for Christmas, his little sister has a pacemaker. Does anyone one know if these laser tag guns cause interference? There was information in the instruction about household 2 way devices that could be affected, but no mention about pacemakers.
Thanks!

I do not have a pacemaker or CRT now, but will discuss it with my Heart Rythum Dr on 12/21/15. I have hade 6 Cardioversions since 2009 (2 this last year alone) and the other topic for tomorrow will be a third Ablation since 2013/4. The last was in June and beat me up pretty well. I also believe General Anestesia damages the mental capabilities.
Reading through " Dr. Google's " material, one item that concerns me is risk of using power tools to include battery powered drills. I enjoy wor...

Hi all... I have a question - has anyone else's PM interfered with their phones and WiFi signals? Since my PM my phone keeps on freezing and battles to connect to the WiFi at times. This sounds strange, but I'm not sure if my phone is faulty or could this be a possibility?

Hello!
My workplace has just had a clocking in handpunch put in. It scans your hand so no fibbing about being late :D
It made me feel quite unwell when close to it earlier so Ive contacted Medtronic and The manufacturer....It says in the manual that it generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energyand can cause harmful interference with radio communications.
Anyone use one at work or is my vaultage too high or sensitive?
Thank you

I have a medtronic pacemaker with one ventricular lead. This was fitted 6 years ago for complete heart block. Recently i have been noticing when i am lying in bed or sitting on my sofa either reading or using the computer etc, (so i haven't been moving really) my heart rate will speed up, i become aware of it when i feel a slight pounding in my chest,( although i feel i have become quite sensitive to realising when my heart rate changes) and when i take my pulse it tends to be around 60-70 BPM....

Two years ago my cardiologist allowed me to use a Medtronic Carelink Monitor every 3 months at home. We have Comcast phone, internet and cable and it has been very successful. Not once in two years did the transmission not go through.
Suddenly my September 25 transmission never went through nor did successive tries go through. The Carelink people said sometimes Comcast stops working with this type of monitor.
Has anyone else had a problem like this? I don't want to stop...

Hi, I am English so my vocab might be odd but I hope you can help my husband. Tony had a pacemaker in Jan 2015. He teaches Electronics. The school built a new building and his room is beside the school plant room with a large electrical motor and induction motor right against the wall with his whiteboard on it. The commissioning engineer told him there is a magnetic field but no-one can tell us how strong it is. Tony is in a different room for now but getting no help from the powers that be. Any...

I wear a security access card when at work, one that allows me to hold against the door lock & have it scanned to unlock the door. Does this interfere with my PM and do I need to wear it away from my PM area?

This is my 6th day since I had the Pacemaker. I was told by the sale executive of the PM (St Jude) that I should abstain from using the Osim Massage chair as the rollers/mechanism might have electro magnets that could affect the performance of my PM. Anybody tried using the massage chair, particularly Osim? It will be a very invaluable bit of info for me. Please advise & thank you.

My wife has just had a Medtronic A2DR01 implanted to treat her bradycardia and it appears to be performing well. She wears Phonak hearing aids and enjoys use of the Compilot streamer, a bluetooth device that communicates with her aids via a neckloop radiating a radio-frequency signal. Phonak warns categorically that PM patients should not use the ComPilot.
(1) Would a 6" offset from the loop prevent interference?
(2) Is there any reason to believe that newer devices such as the A2DR01...

I have an ICD for VT and AF recently. A friend recommended trying on negative ion clothings to regulate the heart beat. Of coz to begin slowly from socks first.
Anyone have experience wearing negative ion clothes? Does it cause interference? As I heard it has to do with electro static. Thanks in advance.
