I get mine on April 25 2014, and i'm a retired 72 year old that is a very active guy, who wants a pacemaker that would work better for working on electronics it seems the doctors and nurses are clueless about EMF and EMI And I would become depressed if I couldn't do my TV repair work and i was told my doctor would pick the one for me just before he does it

Has anyone used this pain relief which works on pulsed, electro-magnetic field? It says not for pacemaker users but I wonder whether it's just CYA again. If I wanted to use it on lower back or knees is it likely to cause any problem? Would I be ok to try it, and what should I look out for ?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Got my pacemaker October 2013 and so far I have not had any problems with my electric power tools. I use a chainsaw and I also do some welding with my wire welder. Have not used either one of them and I wanted to ask if anyone has used a welder with wire feed or a chainsaw since having the pace maker implanted. I have been warned about using either of those tools. I can do without the wire feed welder and use my gas welder instead but I heat my house with wood and I usually harvest wood myself s...

Hi everyone, I am Renae.
I had Boston Scientific CRT-P implant in August on 2013. I had my mammogram done on Friday 3/21/2014 and I felt a zap of electric shock. My chest where the device was located became very hot. I felt impulses on my chest and arms. It vent as far in my stomach area and vagina area as well. Now (gentlemen) you may not know about these exams) However, I mentioned this to the tech, and she indicated that we do mammograms everyday with patients with pacemakers. But told...

Hello fellow participants,
This site has answered so many questions that I thought I would put another one out there for comment.
I have had had my pacemaker in for 8 weeks and feel great. Life is really good and at times I hardly know ' my friend' is there....until yesterday.
We took a flight from Tasmania to Perth in Australia via Melbourne. The trip from Melbourne was just over 4 hours. When the plane had landed and was on its way to the terminal the passengers were told the...

Hi Everyone,
I have just had a Pacemaker fitted, I have been reading up on what I can do and what I should avoid. One point that stuck out on me was area's with high radio fields. I work in custody and as you can imagine there is alot of equipment in there that requires radio transmitters. Will this effect my pacemaker and does anyone have any experiance with this?
Thank you in advance!

Hi All,
My son is 2 yrs old and had his pacemaker when he was at 8mths old. From this forum I have learnt that if his PM is affected by any kind of interferences it will automatically go in test mode and correct itself once move away from that area.
Question,
Seeing that he is a kid still, what signs should I look for when his pacemaker goes into test mode?
Will he subjected to any pain?
Appreciate the response from parents with older kids who can advice....

Hi All,
Did you ever had the opportunity to use the Oson Pace Alert portable device with your PM.If Yes,how effective it was?
Although most electronics don't harm PM function, will this device still detect indicating that you are subjected to interference?

Hi All,
Had you ever had the opportunity to let your kids play with remote control cars without causing any interference with their PM?
Also playing with kids gas driven vehicles 6V types without affecting PM function.
Appreciate your response..

Did any other females get a painful "Dolly Parton syndrome" from the upper torso swelling due to the surgery? I mentioned it to the docs at my 2 week checkup/device test ( it had gone away by that time) and at first they looked puzzled, then burst out laughing.

I had a pacemaker installed about 3 weeks ago and I'm currently in the recovery stage whereby I can't life my left arm over my head for another week or so.
My question is this...once I'm fully recovered, will I be able to utilize a chain saw, leaf blower, weedwacker and lawn mower without any issues? All of these devices have a gas powered engine.
