Expirence with Azure XT Pacemaker

My Drug-resistant Symptomatic Paroxysmal Atrial fibrillation cannot be treated with catheter ablation, so I was recommended to get a dual-chamber Medtronic Azure XT pacemaker for treatment of AFib.


Does anybody have experience with this arrangement?

Vaccinations & Lymph Nodes with a PM

I was scanning through some old posts and saw something about lymph node swelling after a vaccination if it is administered in the arm on the same side as the PM. However, even after a search on the site I am able to find only one related post. My grandmother died of lymphoma, so of course it is a concern. Terrified

So it's been a while since I have posted. I got shocked for the 5th time last week. I'm living in fear now, I'm supposed to go to two concerts in March and one in June and I am terrified to go because I'm afraid I will get overheated or do too much walking or whatever and get shocked again and this time it won't be just me screaming inside my house, I'll be out in public which I haven't been since august unless it was for a dr appointment. Just Diagnosed

Just diagnosed, very concerning, and I really don't want to do this...

I get a little dizzy from time to time and my rate will go to 22 at night, but I haven't blacked out or fainted, some days I feel like crap maybe twice a month, but that's about it. My doctors are indicating my vital organs may not be getting the appropriate blood flow at 22 beats during the night and I had a few episodes of 3rd degree block as well. Vibrate

I dont know if it was a dream or something, but do pacamakers vibrate (like phone vibration) ?? 

I think I dreamt or it happened in my sleep through the night ( I am not sure), but it was very scary.

Pacemaker issues

Met with my EP today and he says we should just shut my pacing off. He disregarded all my questions about fluttering (pvc) and pulsating feeling. Says everything looks good on my device check. I really don’t know what to do. I had the problem in the beginning with my diaphragm and he made adjustments that modified  it, now it’s back but he wouldn’t change anything. I feel like something is wrong. Should I get another opinion? Or just turn it off and assume somethin...

Watchman trial

Just a quick update on my Watchman.  It was inserted Oct 2021, followed by my pacemaker in November2021   Lots of arryhymias but now three months later very well controlled with medication.

Happy to be off the anticoagulants

The TEE today showed good placement of Watchman, no leakage and no clot   Also as a bonus EF up to 55

Finally feeling good and optimistic

I'm 20 now and had my pacemaker implanted when I was 19 in August 2020.

I always felt worried being so young with a pacemaker so I wondered if anyone else here is a similar age to me?

So I just used a smart scale without realizing I’m not really supposed to?!

Hey everyone!! 

So I got my pacemaker June of last year and since recovery I haven't worked out the way I used to so I gained a few pounds and I decided to buy myself a smart scale.

I got on my scale today about 2 or 3 times then as I was looking at info online I realized I'm not supposed to be using these?! My question is, should I get checked out immediately to confirm there were no interferences? I feel fine but I'm a little paranoid after I read the label.

Advocate for yourself!

Alright guys, I feel a little guilty. I commented on another's post yesterday basically saying to be an advocate for themselves, and I haven't really been doing the greatest myself.

Chemotherapy induced heart failure

I'm curious if anyone has heart failure due to chemotherapy or cardio toxicity. I had chemotherapy for childhood cancer when I was seven. Two years ago, when I was diagnosed with hf, I found out that most likely my condition was caused by the chemo, doxorubicin/ adriamycin. My heart muscle is basically hardened. I received my crt-d in November. My EF is 20-25%. Would love to connect with someone who has a similar history.

Bad Timing

Hello everyone,

I always seem to have the worst timing when posting an update on my story. strange wave through upper torso

Hello all,

My husband recieved his Medtronic 3 lead pacemaker last April after he had a full electrical failure. He also has a 31 year old mechanical aortic valve that is working without complications. He takes coumadin to prevent clots with his mechanical valve.

Atrium pacing (AP) vs ventricle pacing (VP)

I've had my PM about a year now. After several procedures over the years, the main problem that drove my PM install was sick sinus syndrome. I have a dual chamber PM. The reports from my PM have consistently shown AP of around 95% which is what I expected. The initial reports showed VP to be about 1%. However, in recent months the VP has increased to 18% in a very linear fashion during the last 6 months.

Phrenic nerve stimulation

Hello, I am new to the club! Has anyone had an experience with the phrenic nerve and or diaphragm being stimulated from the left ventricle lead? I had a crt-d put in November 3rd. I began noticing a constant pulsating feeling in my thoracic cavity when I began to become more mobile after surgery. Feeling winded when at rest, trying to eat, pretty much everything caused sob.
