iPad Pro/IPad Air

  I know there are a lot of smart ppl on here and I am hoping someone can help me. I got a new IPad Pro 6 months ago and noticed no effects from the magnets involved with the device or the case at all. Then I got a new IPad Air a week ago and when I use it I feel light headed. I have an iPhone 12 Pro phone and that has never effected me.

How much dieting is too much dieting?

I am wondering what everyone thinks about dieting. I know, I know, I shoulld be asking my doctor. We did discuss this a year or so ago, and I was given the standard heart-healthy diet, which was OK. Limiting sodium & fat was not difficult for me, and I became a label-reader & (for a while) kept a daily tab. I lost about 15 lbs in the first few months, then hit a plareau & stuck there. Currently in hospital - Sudden case of Slow VT ?

Hi all i have had a PaceMaker for 20+ years and was recently diagnoised with ARVC (acute right ventrical cardiomyopathy) - As fellow PM's know, i felt that my heart was not acting normally as i felt that it was racing for small bursts. i contaced the device care team after a transmission and asked them if they noticed anything during those specific times . they confirmed they did notice a fast HR but nothing being reported as abnormal by the PM.

ICD vs. Pacemaker

On my second ICD as the battery was about to expire.. Have noticed a few posts here where considering changing out Pacemaker for an ICD. I have to wonder why not get an ICD to start with.....since they also have pacing feature? Both treat similar arrhythmia issues which got us here to start with. Ventricular. Tachycardia/ ICD restrictions

Last Saturday I hand washed my car, eat a pizza, took a hot shower and I went to a birthday party. Before leaving for the birthday party I took Flecainide and my blood thinner. ERI - No Surgeries Because of Covid

Hi Everyone - I am a 72 year old woman who has had a Medtronic Pacemaker for 12 and 1/2 years (for Bradychardia - sick sinus syndrome.) I went into ERI on August 5 and feel just horrible. Extreme fatigue, constant fluttering heartbeat, difficulty breathing, extremely low blood pressure. Problem is: I live in a small town in Southern Oregon and all of our hospitals have shut down surgeries because they are short- staffed, and have no room - over-flowing with Covid patients....

Pacer Recording

Question?  I have a Medtronic MRI safe pacer. If it is set to record HR below 50 or above 120....will it record if I am in afib with rates running between 60 -90. Every time I see cardiologist my episodes are less then what I have recorded on my Kardia  monitor. Any advice or feedback appreciated.

Hybrid Cars

We are considering purchasing a new mild hybrid car. Meaning it switches between petrol and electric. Never occurred to me to ask salesman about the electric part interacting with pacemaker devices tbh. Not that he would probably know tbh. So thought it more beneficial to ask here. So is it safer to just stick to petrol only please?

Good, I guess

The problem with feeling pretty good most of the time? When I have noticeable a-fib symptoms, I have forgotten what they feel like! Laid down for a nap & when I got up I felt my heart racing, was slightly short of breath, felt sort of shaky...Started to get uneasy & then I realized that I used to feel this way a lot more often!

5th battery change

Started in 1984 after heart attack with first pacemaker, now recovering from my fifth battery change. Last 37 years living with slow heart rate has been challenging but so blessed & thankful for a full life  especially during Covid struggles but my life goes on as expected. Retired at 73 and thankful for a full normal life.

Covid and the heart, a warning!

Do not be complacent! In spite of double vaccination against Covid (Pfizer) and known to have antibodies from the vaccination, Four weeks ago I  caught Covid (thanks to an immuno-suppressed  heart transplant mate that I play table-tennis with, socially distanced by the length of the table). Rough day

Been a tough one. Had a tet a tet with my Cardiologist today. It's one thing to recognize things are winding down, it's still another to have a professionsl whom you respect confirm it. Yeah, yeah. I know we talk about this all the time and my Cardiology team doesn't candy coat things for me...still.

I’m still new to pacemakers so I’m sorry if I ask crazy stuff, but I’m scared right now?!

This entire past weekend I was feeling real crappy. By that I mean really dizzy, or lightheaded and with nausea. 
my legs also felt like Jelly. I went to the ER and had many tests run including an EKG and which all checked out fine.

I’ve had my pacemaker almost 2 months now, I felt great last week but now I’ve had never ending nausea the last 3 days?

I was finally starting to feel a bit more normal but now I'm always nauseous for the last 3 days and I feel like I could throw up at any minute now :( 

I'm not on any medications either. Has anyone faced episodes like this where sometime after the surgery you'll have random days in which you feel terrible?

Twin lead pacemaker

Hi all

Does anyone ever have days where you can “feel pacing” more than any other day?

First I wanted to thank every single person here. I got my pacemaker about a little over a month and a half ago and I can't even believe how helpful everyone here is. You've all helped me realize that I'm not alone.
